Skyrim Winterhold in Unreal Engine 5

Skyrim’s Winterhold in Unreal Engine 5 looks incredible

Skyrim fans, check this out. Leo Torres just dropped a video showing Winterhold from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim in Unreal Engine 5. This video can give us an idea of what a next-gen Skyrim could look like. Seriously, it looks stunning so be sure to watch it.

Leo Torres rendered this map in Unreal Engine 5.3.2 on an NVIDIA RTX 3060Ti. He used third-party models and custom assets. For the custom assets, he used Blender. The artist used Nanite for all models and foliage. Plus, for GI and reflections, he used Lumen.

Leo Torres is no stranger to making Skyrim look amazing in Unreal Engine 5. He has done it before. In April 2023, he shared a cool video of Whiterun in Unreal Engine 5. Then, in October, he did it again with a recreation of Solitude in UE5. This guy knows knows his stuff.

The artist created Winterhold in a way that’s way more realistic and fits with the lore of the game. Now, it feels like a legit place. And guess what? At the end of the video, there’s a walkthrough that shows us just how big and cool it is. Check it out to see for yourself.

Speaking of Unreal Engine 5, we recommend trying out these other free fan-made demos. After all, we here at DSOGaming have shared numerous of them. You can grab a Superman UE5 Demo, a Halo 3: ODST Remake, and a Spider-Man UE5 Demo. There’s also a fan-made version of STALKER in Unreal Engine 5. If you love old-school FPS games, you should check out this remake of the classic FPS Blood in Epic’s engine. Don’t also forget the remake of Halo: Combat Evolved’s Halo level in UE5. Lastly, we have The Lord of the Rings: Conquest Reimagined in Unreal Engine 5 and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time in UE 5.3.1. They all look awesome, so be sure to give them a try.

Enjoy!

  1. UE5 does look amazing in parts of robocop won’t deny that, but in other parts its like 2010 levels, cars, interiors, world junk etc Similar to UE4 since I”m replaying terminator resistance which I was shocked how bad it looks in the first hideout and other places and it’s a 2019 game, but in dark hazy outsides can look amazing, the engine is like a schizo, some things amazing some things like 2003 level. And very inconsistent equipment usage and performance, like sometimes heavy system use out of nowhere and sometimes almost no use, easier to tell on a laptop w the fans ramping up and down at odd times.

It’s kind of shocking how fanboyism can be like some dolled up man in a dress which makes men lose their minds and be so easily manipulated. Taycon is really good at the real game going on, 15-20hrs for 55-60$ lol terminator is still 40$ to this day, so they never drop to 5$ unless you follow it a ton to find a sales, AI bots out there spamming gushing praise, even as “real” people in reddit, using the training AI has got free for decades now to neutralize dissent and criticism via psychowarfare etc
