Here is your first look at Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot from its Gamescom 2019 “Cell Saga” demo

At Gamescom 2019, Bandai Namco presented a new demo for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. Gamersryde has capture some gameplay footage and released a video, showing 12 minutes from it. This is our first proper look at extended gameplay footage from this new DBZ game, so make sure to watch it.

As the title suggestsm Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot tells the story of DRAGON BALL Z. The game promises to take players on an unforgettable adventure to experience over-the-top battles and challenging quests while creating life-long friendships as they crusade to protect Earth from fearsome villains.

Bandai Namco has confirmed that the Saiyan, Freeza and Cell sagas will be part of it. As such, I’m almost certain that we’ll get the Android saga too. Rumour has it that the game may also include the Buu saga (though this has not been confirmed yet).

After watching the video, I’m happy to report that all the original Japanase voice actors are coming back. Gohan, Goku, Vegeta and Cell sound like their anime counterparts. Moreover, the game will feature the Japanese music, something that will please most of its fans. However, it appears that the game lacks emotion. All the lines are delivered in a really emotionless way, and that really bothered me.

Seriously, just compare the voices with this clip from the anime. And since Dragon Ball FighterZ also lacked the passion of the anime, I’m certain that things will not improve in the final version.

But anyway, enjoy the video!
