Digital Dreams has shared a new video, showcasing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim with over 1500 mods. These mods are part of the Elysium Remastered project that is available for Skyrim’s Anniversary Edition.
Elysium Remastered comes configured with a tweak combination of both NAT.ENB III – Natural and Atmospheric Tamriel ENB 3.0 and PRT XII – PhotoRealistic Tamriel 12. However, Digital Dreams also used Reshade Ray Tracing.
The end result is pretty amazing, so be sure to watch the video. Not only that, but it’s incredible that the game can even launch with over 1500 mods.

The elk at the beginning was a total immersion breaker, and the fact you will spend the rest of your life installing 1500 mods so the game can look half decent.
Plus its so easy to break the game and have no idea what’s causing it to crash.

It is using Wabbajack for installation, so would have been straightforward, compared to using NMM or ModOrganizer.

I don’t know how people are able to install so many mods in a game. Plus as mentioned already how much time would it take to install all of those mods and test the game to see if you borked it.
Honestly. I legit only installed 30 or so mods for Fallout 4. And I had a lotta issues with the mods. Don’t wanna imagine 2000 mods.
I think i installed around 10 mods or so for FO4, played a little bit, didn’t like the game and uninstalled.
Same. Spent more time just installing mods, and Fallout itself, than actually playing it. Waste of time.
I had the reverse situation with Stalker modding. Much better modding scene and plenty of stand alone mods.
I think Stalker is a better game imo.
It took me an entire day to install 200 mods and another day to solve the issues/conflicts. It takes a lot less than what most people think.

You have to repack multiple mods into less… Debug them one by one, spend hours hand correcting the load order, fixing errors, then play 20 minutes before remembering you’ve been sick of this game for the last 10 years. Finally realise you’ve lost half of your day before deinstalling.

Here on DSOG we have a full freedom of speech, so anyone can express their
opinions freely without being banned, but I think every site should have
at least some basic rules, because without any rules there’s a chaos. Freedom of speech shouldnt mean freedom to attack people freely (wish them death or something extreme like that), and unfortunately that’s the case here on DSOG. Because of that comments section here on DSOG is just one big mess and I’m sure many people who would love to talk here (about games and technology) dont even want to post here, because they know it’s not the place for civil discussion.
But I like how block feature works now, because it really makes life here much easier. In the past people from block list could still interact with your comments (and for example harras you), so this feature was worthless. my favourite modpack. also you dont manually install 1500 mods if you have premium nexus account. everything is automatically after downloading mods.
Wabbajack is an automated modlist installer, works great. Saves a lot of headache with trial and error if you’re going for a lot of mods. The lists are well tested on wabbajack’s site too. If you buy nexus premium for a month (£2.99) it auto downloads and activates every mod in the right order for you.
The last real TES was Morrowind…or so i’ve heard.
It was the last unique TES. Highly recommend with the rebirth mod (very easy to intall). Oblivion and Skyrim went down a more typical Lord of the Rings fantasy route.

Been several years since I played Skyrim and that was with 100+ mods, 1500 is quite impressive, I can’t imagine why you need that many though, 10-20 main main mods did the trick making it stable and visually better with the rest being little personal choices.

A ton of those 1068 plugins are compatibility patches so mod x works okay with mod y, etc. Still, it’s a lot of mods regardless, lol.
The highest number of mods I’ve ever put into a game was 1.

What card do you have to pull off all those mods at once?
It’s not so much about which GPU you have, it’s more to do with choosing mods wisely. So in practical terms that means things like,
– avoid mods known to use heavy (and frequent) scripting
– using high poly mesh mods by competent mod authors
– not using too many extra NPCs mods together
– not using any ENB in my instance
– not using the likes of FNIS and custom body mods
– use the Cathedral series of mods
– use mods that optimise things, e.g. eFPS, SSE Display Tweaks
– choose your grass and/or trees mod/s (and settings) wisely
– 4K only for large assets like mountains, 2K is fine for everything else
– use BethINI for optimised settings
– use LOOT to sort load order

Disagree with this IF AND ONLY IF you play at 1440p and above. 4K textures do make a nice difference. From my experience, 4K textures are the main thing to make your framerates more unstable, and require a fast CPU, storage and GPU. I’m maxing out the 10 GB on my 3080 easily with 4K mods. So, it depends.
Go check out the 8K texture for Alduins wall if you haven’t already 😛 200 MB+ single texture!

It’s cool, etc, but for me I’m content with using one of the numerous good quality weather mods and lighting mods available that don’t have a major performance hit.

Fair enough. Yep, I have the game installed on 2xNVMe M.2 SSDs in RAID 0 in addition to using mods that optimise display and rendering performance and seem to improve the effectiveness of G-Sync which has otherwise never really performed quite as it should so with the game.
Haha, yep, I saw that mod. A high res texture mod for the particular asset is worthwhile so to appreciate the detail on the wall in greater clarity.

I used to mod Skyrim but I released it just made the game look nicer. It did not make the game better or more fun.
I wish warez sites released more games with curated mods. That’s how i played FNV btw.
Do the mods get installed with the game? I could really do with something like that. I’m terrible at modding bethesda games.
That was a long time ago and the torrent is probably outdated and zero seeders. But i think there are some repacks with mods pre-installed around, i have seen some DODI releases and Darck repack foruns i guess.
Bethesda is lucky so many people try to fix their janky, mediocre games. If I was them I would start a ModCON or something. Without modders Bethesda would be nothing with the exception of Id Software.
Nobody cares about 6900 ghey tracing mods for the most overhyped game.
with wabbajack or nexus collections (using vortex), its kind of easy now. But you won’t have the perfection of a hand picked list to your taste

Easy. Stalker is niche, skyrim is not. If he did a stalker article, nobody would care.
