MindsEye releases in a few days, and apparently, some people got their hands on physical copies of the game. So, below, you can find a video showcasing 45 minutes of gameplay footage from it.
MindsEye is a new single-player action-adventure thriller that focuses on story, mystery, and high-stakes missions. In this game, players step into the shoes of Jacob Diaz, a former soldier with a troubled past. Jacob has a strange neural implant in his brain, and he’s dealing with memory loss and disturbing flashbacks. As the story unfolds, Jacob must go on dangerous missions to uncover what really happened to him and who he truly is.
The world of MindsEye is dark and full of threats. You’ll come across advanced robots, crazy science experiments, sneaky companies, corrupt leaders, and even a massive army with no master. It will be a mix of sci-fi action and suspense, with a strong focus on storytelling.
MindsEye feels like a mix of Watch_Dogs and GTA. This shouldn’t come as a surprise as it’s being led by former Rockstar Games producer, Leslie Benzies. However, this will be a double-A game, and not a triple-A title. So, don’t expect it to be as polished as GTA 4 or 5.
Now, about the leaked gameplay video. First things first. This gameplay footage is captured from a PS5. It also does not have the day-1 update. Plus, HDR was enabled when capturing it, meaning that it will look washed out on your monitors.
From what I’ve heard, the PS5 version has some performance issues. The good news is that on PC, we will be able to force our way through them. Well, that is if you have a high-end PC. Personally, I’m more interested in bugs and glitches that the game might have. It appears that MindsEye is coming in hot. And yes, I’ll be sure to share my initial tech impressions of it once it becomes available.
IO Interactive Partners will release MindsEye on June 10th. The fact that we just received a proper gameplay trailer for it feels fishy. Still, this isn’t a new “The Day Before“. This is a real game.
Last month, the devs shared the game’s PC requirements. According to them, you’ll at least need an Intel Core i5-12400F or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X with 16GB of RAM and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT. The game will also require 70GB of free disk space, and it will be using the DX12 API.
Stay tuned for more!
