NVIDIA has released a new trailer for Directive 8020 that shows off its Path Tracing effects that will be available on PC. This short, but sweet, trailer will give you a taste of the path-traced version of this new sci-fi survival horror game.
In Directive 8020, players go on a deep space mission to help save humanity. The story is told like a movie, and it’s full of scary moments. A dangerous alien is hiding in the dark halls of the ship and wants to wipe out all humans. To survive, players must use quick thinking, sneaky moves, and weapons they build from what they can find.
The alien lifeform will be able to perfectly imitate its prey. This means that one of your friends may end up being the alien. This reminds me of The Thing. So, if you loved that movie (or its game), you might be interested in this new game.
You’ll also be able to change your story using the new Turning Points story tree. You can make big choices that lead to different endings, find secret paths, and even save your crew from dying.
To overcome their enemies, players will be able to use improvised weapons, lightning reflexes, and stealth.
Supermassive Games will release Directive 8020 in 2026. You can also find its official PC requirements here.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
