BeamNG.drive – New Video Focuses On Handling Model, Shows New Impressive Vehicle Deformation

BeamNG has released a new video for BeamNG.drive that offers an overview of the characteristics of car handling arising from Node-Beam simulation. BeamNG’s engine looks – technically, not visually – phenomenal and this video also packs some new highly detailed vehicle deformation effects. Enjoy!

  1. Hey, this video isn’t about crashes, so title shouldn’t even mention “new impressive vehicle deformation”. And how is it new?
Did you come there to see crashes and car bodies bending? If so, there’s already a second version of tech demo released, check it out.

By the way, I bought BeamNG because of its great potential. A big patch is coming soon, so I can’t wait to see it!

    1. I agree it was clickbait. But at least I got something out of it. I always wondered why I lose control in a lot of sim racing games.

      1. Yeah, the video is cool, but it’s virtually only about the handling model, not about crashes, so deformation shouldn’t even be mentioned in the title. It was my one and only complaint :).

  2. Right now if you can combine dirt rally handling and force feedback with beamng physics, deformation and damage effects, it would be the best driving simulator on consumer market IMHO

          1. next gen gta v is not a substantial enough upgrade to the previous gen version to suggest the current consoles cant do something a lot better and such has been said by the devs.

    1. Suuure… GTA V was already a big step backwards in terms of vehicle driving model. Rockstar wants to cater to broader audience, including whiny kids who think it’s wrong that you lose traction if you take rapid turns at full throttle.
That’s why I think GTA VI won’t be more sophisticated in terms of that.
