World of Warcraft now supports DirectX 12, does no longer support fullscreen exclusive mode

It appears that Blizzard has made some noteworthy rendering changes to World of Warcraft as this massive MMORPG does no longer support the DX9 API. Yesterday, MarketWatch claimed that Grand Theft Auto V was the biggest selling entertainment product ever, surpassing even films like Avatar or Star Wars. However, this information is incorrect as there is PC-only game that has generated almost double the amount that GTA V has raised, and that is no other than World of Warcraft. The free-to-play market has grown 28% year-over-year, PUBG surpasses WoW on the total PC games list

SuperData has released its worldwide digital video games stats for August 2017. According to the stats, and even though the PC segment shrank 10% year-over-year, the free-to-play market has grown 28% year-over-year. This shows how many developers are, in 2017, adopting this model for their games, and could perhaps give us an idea of what will happen in 2018. Blizzard has announced that it will end support for older operating systems this October. Blizzard Bans 100,000 World of Warcraft accounts

Blizzard has apparently hit over 100,000 accounts with bans in a large bot purge. Accounts impacted were detected to be using gameplay automation methods. The ban doesn’t end with hardcore botters either, casual bot users were apparently hit as well.
