Security researchers at Eclypsium have discovered a new severe vulnerability that affects the bootloader process used by virtually every Linux system in use, and almost every Windows OS PC device using ‘Secure Boot’ with Microsoft’s standard Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) certificate authority. New security vulnerability, BlueKeep, found for Windows XP, Vista & 7, patch fix available for download

It appears that a new security vulnerability has been discovered that affects Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. This vulnerability, called BlueKeep, is basically a bug found in Microsoft’s implementation of the remote desktop protocol, and more than 800,000 computers – that were exposed to the Internet – were vulnerable to it. Remote Code Execution security vulnerability affecting Windows 7 & XP systems, fix available for download

Microsoft has announced that it has released fixes for a critical Remote Code Execution vulnerability, CVE-2019-0708, in Remote Desktop Services – formerly known as Terminal Services – that affects some older versions of Windows. The affected versions of Windows are Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows 2003 and Windows Server 2008, so we strongly suggest downloading and applying this security fix in case you are using the aforementioned OSes.
