We seriously don’t know whether THQ and Volition went too far with this new trailer or not. This is a parody of COD: MW3 and Battlefield 3 and although it’s kind of cool, we can’t see the reason behind it. Surely all the aforementioned games are coming in the same month but Saints Row: The Third is an over-the-top fun sandbox game, whereas COD: MW3 and BF3 are pure FPS games. In other words, they are addressed to completely different players. The only logical explanation is that THQ wanted to attract as many players as possible. THQ and Volition have just confirmed that the PC version of Saints Row: The Third will officially support AMD’s Eyefinity. This means that PC gamers can use multiple monitors to enjoy this upcoming third person sandbox game. The companies have also released a screenshots in which we can see the game running in ‘triple-monitors’ with Eyefinity and can be viewed after the jump. THQ released some new gamescom screenshots and a brand new trailer for Saints Row: The Third. As always, the game looks great and seems as crazy as the previous parts, a good sign in our opinion as it differentiates it from all other open-world games. THQ revealed today their earnings report for the first quarter of fiscal year 2012 and quite shockingly, Red Faction: Armageddon didn’t match the company’s expectations. THQ recorded an additional $8 million loss compared to last year’s – $38.4 million compared to last year’s $30.4 million – and the company is really disappointed in their first quarter financial performance. Volition released today a 7 minute video of gameplay footage for their much anticipated third person sandbox game. Saints Row: The Third promises to be the most ridiculous and most over the top experience of gaming. This video showcases the game’s city, Steelport, as well as its brand new, open world gameplay.
