DOTA 2 – Massive Update Released

Great news for all DOTA 2 fans that are participating in its beta phase, as Valve has just released a massive new update for it. This update adds a commendation system, which allows players to commend others who made their game a happier experience, and report anyone being hostile. Additionally, there’s a variety of other gameplay additions and fixes, and some improvements to the practice bots. This update will be applied automatically next time you start the Steam client. Half Life 2: Zeitgeist – New Screenshots revealed

Northcape Studios released today some new screenshots for their upcoming Half Life 2 mod, Zeitgeist. Zeitgeist is a single player modification, playing in the futuristic 1930s of a fictional time line. In addition, the company released the game’s first video footage which shows the player leaving the escalators at Piccadilly Underground Station, catching a train and being carried into another station. Half Life 2 – Fakefactory Cinematic Mod 11 Trailer

Juergen Vierheilig released a new trailer for the latest version of his mind-blowing Half-Life 2 graphical overhaul, Cinematic Mod. As always, this new trailer looks incredible, although some might not like the look of some new 3D models. Thankfully, Juergen used Alyx’s old model this time around – guess he got tired of all those complaining about it. Unfortunately, we don’t know when Cinematic Mod 11 will actually get released. Half Life 2: Episode 2 – Episode 3: The Closure Mod; New Screenshots and Trailer

So, we all know that Valve is not willing to release Episode 3 anytime soon. Well, fear not PC gamers because modder SPY-maps decided to offer us an unofficial, alternative way of how Episode 3 would look like. Originally started as a two-maps project, Episode 3: The Closure takes of where the original episode 2 ended, although it will take from there a completely different direction, thus leaving room for the ultimate closure of the saga to the original Episode 3 – if it ever gets released. Portal 2 DLC coming on October 4th

Remember that Portal 2 DLC that was supposed to come out this Summer? Well, it got delayed but it’s time to rejoice everyone. Why you ask? Because Valve has just announced that the DLC will be released on October 4th for all platforms. CSPromod 1.07 Is Out Now – Play Counter-Strike the way it was meant to be played

In Q1 of 2006, CSPromod was conceived as an attempt to bring a fully-customizable version of Counter-Strike to the Source Engine for the purposes of growing competitive play and broadcast spectatorship. This project arose from the opinion of many in the professional community that Counter-Strike: Source was lacking in many key areas, and could be vastly improved upon. Much of the Counter-Strike community had been expecting CS:Source to be original CS gameplay with better graphics, and unfortunately, that’s not at all what CS:Source ended up being.
