Half Life 3 Fan-Made Commercial: Join The Resistance

Pat Goodwin – from Equilitree – directed a short non-commercial film for Half-Life 3. This video lasts around 2 minutes and has a narration about the Resistance and Gordon Freeman’s history. It’s pretty basic, but at the same time it’s easy to the eyes and kind of cool. It doesn’t have those funky special effects of all other fan-made Half-Life films but then again, that’s not a bad thing as its artistic direction is completely different. Enjoy! Portal 2 Beta DLC – 5 Minutes from the upcoming free DLC

Portal fans, here is your first look at the upcoming DLC of Portal 2. Portal 2 Perpetual Testing Initiative DLC is currently in beta phase and Valve has given the green light to all beta testers to release and share their videos from it. The following video from YouTube’s member ‘ValveTime’ is 5 minutes – in length- and shows how to use the Steam Workshop, find maps, download and rate them once you’ve completed it. In addition, you will also take a taste of some of those custom maps that are featured in the beta. Incoming Valve Announcement; ‘Wake up and smell the ashes’ gamers

Now this is really interesting. A couple of hours ago, IGN and Valve teased gamers about an incoming announcement. According to Valve, players should keep an eye on all the feeds from Valve’s Twitter account as something special will be announced pretty soon. IGN on the other hand tweeted a line from Half-Life 2’s intro sequence, while the DNS information of the official Half-Life 3 website has been updated. Gabe Newell talks about Half-Life 2: Episode 3; Silence is fairer to the fans, no E3 news about HL3

Half-Life fans, here is some bad and some really bad news. In a recent interview with SevenDayCoolDown, Gabe revealed that Valve’s silence is fairer to the Half Life fans. According to Gabe, Valve has not finalised the formula yet and they are still experimenting with Half Life 3’s concept. Currently, there are a lot of twists and turns and those decisions could possibly drive Half-Life fans more crazy. Black Mesa Soundtrack coming in the following days; mod to be released two weeks afterwards

It’s been a couple of months since our last feature of Black Mesa, right? Well, as we informed you back in January, the team behind Black Mesa would be releasing first its soundtrack and then the full game would follow. The gap between the soundtrack and the mod was said to be around two weeks. And it seems that the Black Mesa team is getting ready for a Summer release, as the soundtrack is expected to be released in the following days. New Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Beta Update Released; packed with new Demolition maps

Valve has released a new update for the beta version of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. This update comes with some new ‘Demolition’ maps, additional camera punch effect to weapon firing to give more visual feedback, server browser to Play menu, reduced sizes of the hostage hitboxes, reduced per shot weapon inaccuracy across all weapons, as well as some fixes to various bug issues. DOTA 2 gets a new massive Beta update; Random Draft mode enabled, Lone Druid added in Captain’s Mode

Valve has released a new, massive update for DOTA 2. This new patch enables Random Draft mode and rebalances pretty much every class of it. In addition, the Lone Druid class is enabled in Captain’s Mode and Nevermore’s animations have been updated. Bots have also been tweaked and they will no longer attempt to use a Tango when being attacked or when defending an ally. CS: Global Offensive gets a massive Beta Update; new map, weapons and player movement adjusted

Valve has released a new, massive beta update for their upcoming competitive FPS game, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. This update adds a new map, some weapons, adjusts the player movement in response to pro player feedback, tweaks almost every existing map, fixes various crashes, as well as achievements not being displayed properly when earned.
