Well, I’ll be damned, it seems that it was not a simple placeholder after all. Keep reading because there is a hidden message at the Blappeture website that was recently launched. This is a HL/Portal fansite, we know that much, so as always take everything you read with a grain of salt. Go ahead and take a closer look at the website’s source code. Black Mesa’s Carlos Montero explains why Black Mesa: Source didn’t hit its 2009 release date

A lot of people consider Black Mesa as the DNF of mods. While it’s true that the mod has not been released yet (and although there are strong hints that it might hit PCs this year), we’ve been wondering what had happened back in 2009 and why the team did not release it back then. Thankfully, Black Mesa’s Carlos Montero has shed some light into this, stating that the team did their best to hit that deadline and although they had a working version of Black Mesa, there were so many shortcuts – which have been made in order to hit the deadline – that the end result was not up to the standards that were set by the team. Rumor: Half-Life 2: Episode Three Leaked via GameStop?

An interesting new entry appeared on GameStop’s catalogue. According to the ‘PowerUp Reward’ section of the nationwide retailer of computer and console video games, Half-Life 2: Episode Three is happening. GameStop has added a page for it (which is obviously a placeholder) and Reddit’s user ‘StillDefective’ has captured a screenshot from it. As you can see, there isn’t even a cover for it, so we can assume that it won’t be released anytime soon. The big question though is why GameStop added it in the first place. According to StillDefective, this page can be found here. You can view the image below, but take it with a grain salt. Consider it a rumor for the time being. Enjoy and stay tuned for more! Half Life 3 Fan-Made Commercial: Join The Resistance

Pat Goodwin – from Equilitree – directed a short non-commercial film for Half-Life 3. This video lasts around 2 minutes and has a narration about the Resistance and Gordon Freeman’s history. It’s pretty basic, but at the same time it’s easy to the eyes and kind of cool. It doesn’t have those funky special effects of all other fan-made Half-Life films but then again, that’s not a bad thing as its artistic direction is completely different. Enjoy!
