Epic Games Store is THQ Nordic’s leading digital platform for Metro Exodus

THQ Nordic CEO Lars Wingefors has confirmed that the majority of the digital sales for Metro Exodus are coming from the Epic Games Store. This basically means that the Epic Games Store is the leading digital platform for Metro Exodus, something that re-affirms the successful PC launch of the game on Epic’s store. THQ Nordic has 48 unannounced games under development, 4A Games working on a new triple-A game

THQ Nordic has published its Q5 earnings release, revealing that it currently has 48 unannounced games that are under development. As the publisher noted, by the end of the quarter, THQ Nordic, Deep Silver and Coffee Stain had 80 games in development, of which 48 titles are currently unannounced. THQ Nordic acquires Piranha Bytes, also acquires the rights for Gothic, Risen and ELEX

THQ Nordic announced today that the acquisition of the Piranha Bytes team and trademark and the intellectual property Gothic has been finalised. Piranha Bytes’ rights to Risen and ELEX were also acquired. The newly formed entity (Piranha Bytes GmbH, Essen, Germany) will host the entire development team and is a 100% subsidiary of THQ Nordic GmbH, based in Vienna, Austria.
