NVIDIA on The Witcher 3 – New Driver Updates Will Address Kepler Issues

AMD on The Witcher 3 Hairworks Performance Issues, Optimization & Graphics Innovation

It’s been a really tough week for AMD. The Witcher 3 has just been released and according to reports, the game’s Hairworks effects have a huge performance impact on all Radeon GPUs. AMD accused NVIDIA for sabotaging AMD cards in The Witcher 3, and some media tried defending the green team. The Witcher 3 – Patch 1.0.3 Available – Improves Hairworks Performance & Input Responsiveness

CD Projekt RED has released a new patch for the PC version of The Witcher 3. According to its changelog, this patch improves Nvidia Hairworks performance, improves input responsiveness when using keyboard, extends Sharpen Postprocess settings to Off/Normal/High, and boosts texture anisotropy sampling to 16x on Ultra preset. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Looks Glorious in 4K with SweetFX 2.0

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is out and PC gamers have been experimenting with SweetFX in order to further enhance its visuals. And while we’ve seen some interesting SweetFX configs, nothing can come close to this unreleased config. It remains a mystery whether this mod will get released – especially since there are so many alternatives – however in our opinion this SweetFX config makes The Witcher 3 look gorgeous. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Proper Comparison Screenshots Between Final Version & “VGX” Trailer

Remember the Wild Hunt village scene from the game’s VGX trailer? Well, good news is that this scene is present even in the final version of The Witcher 3. The bad news is that this scene shows some of the differences between the VGX trailer and the final build. As always, the smoke effects are the ones that have been severely ‘downgraded. Particles effects are fewer in the final version, and the lighting system seems to have taken a hit. Kudos to NeoGAF’s member ‘JoeLT‘ for sharing the images. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Low versus Ultra Comparison Screenshots

CD Projekt RED has provided us with a review code for The Witcher 3, and below you can view some comparison screenshots between the game’s Low and Ultra settings. As we can see – and unlike many other games – there is a noticeable difference between these two presets. Ultra shots are on the left whereas Low shots are on the right. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – New Video Details NVIDIA GameWorks Graphical Effects

NVIDIA has released a new video for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, showing off its GameWorks effects that will be featured in it. According to NVIDIA, over three-dozen animals and monsters feature NVIDIA HairWorks for stunningly realistic fur and hair that moves with the creatures movement as well as environmental effects such wind.
