The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is out and PC gamers have been experimenting with SweetFX in order to further enhance its visuals. And while we’ve seen some interesting SweetFX configs, nothing can come close to this unreleased config. It remains a mystery whether this mod will get released – especially since there are so many alternatives – however in our opinion this SweetFX config makes The Witcher 3 look gorgeous. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Proper Comparison Screenshots Between Final Version & “VGX” Trailer
Remember the Wild Hunt village scene from the game’s VGX trailer? Well, good news is that this scene is present even in the final version of The Witcher 3. The bad news is that this scene shows some of the differences between the VGX trailer and the final build. As always, the smoke effects are the ones that have been severely ‘downgraded. Particles effects are fewer in the final version, and the lighting system seems to have taken a hit. Kudos to NeoGAF’s member ‘JoeLT‘ for sharing the images. CD Projekt RED has provided us with a review code for The Witcher 3, and below you can view some comparison screenshots between the game’s Low and Ultra settings. As we can see – and unlike many other games – there is a noticeable difference between these two presets. Ultra shots are on the left whereas Low shots are on the right. NVIDIA has released a new video for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, showing off its GameWorks effects that will be featured in it. According to NVIDIA, over three-dozen animals and monsters feature NVIDIA HairWorks for stunningly realistic fur and hair that moves with the creatures movement as well as environmental effects such wind. The Witcher 3 releases tomorrow and as you may have guessed, NVIDIA has released a new driver focused on this highly anticipated RPG. According to the release notes, this new WHQL comes with SLI support and GeForce Experience 1-click optimizations for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. In addition, this new driver features SLI profiles for Magicka 2, Civilization: Beyond Earth and World of Warships. A couple of hours ago, PCGamesHardware shared a video comparison between the PC and the PS4 versions of The Witcher 3. However, CD Projekt RED got in touch with the German website and removed the video at CD Projekt RED’s request. YouTube’s member ‘docm77’ has just posted a new video in which CD Projekt RED’s visual effects artist talks and shares his opinion about the whole The Witcher 3’s “downgrade-ation”. As CDPR’s artist told docm77, CDPR did not downgrade the game’s visuals. Moreover, CDPR’s artist claimed that it is unfair to compare a trailer and a gameplay demo.
