New concept arts revealed for Visceral’s Star Wars game

During the Star Wars Celebration Panel, Electronic Arts and Visceral Games revealed some new concept arts for Visceral’s Star Wars game. According to Visceral Games, this new Star Wars game will be released in 2018 and will feature an original Star Wars story with new characters, new locations and creatures. Respawn is working on a third-person Star Wars game

Electronic Arts has announced at this year’s E3 that DICE and Motive are working on a new Star Wars: Battlefront game. In addition, Visceral Games is working on a Star Wars game that will be released in 2018, and Respawn is experimenting on a third-person Star Wars game that is planned for release in the future. Star Wars – New footage from unannounced game surfaces

A new gameplay video for an unannounced Star Wars game has just surfaced. This video was shared by an Ex-EA employee, and showcases a game that looks like: 1) a real-time strategy game, b) an action RPG or c) a “tower” defense game. We don’t have enough information about this game, and it looks more like a mobile game (so be warned for low-quality visuals). Nevertheless, we are pretty sure that Star Wars fans will be interested in it, so go ahead and watch the video after the jump (thanks IGN). Sony London’s Environment Artist Finishes Star Wars Episode I: Racer Map In CRYENGINE

If you thought that game developers and artists are not experimenting with different game engines, well… you are in for a surprise. Sony London’s Environment Artist, Ben Keeling, has been working – these past months – on a map inspired by Star Wars Episode I: Racer in CRYENGINE. This map started as an Unreal Engine 4 project but Ben decided to switch over to CRYENGINE. And today, Sony’s artist shared the final images from this finished map. Enjoy! Back in April, we informed you about a Star Wars Episode I: Racer project. This project is being created by Polycount’s member ‘Benkeeling‘ who has decided to ditch Unreal Engine 4 over CRYENGINE, and has posted some new images from it. Kotaku has spotted an EA job listing, according to which EA Canada is currently working on an open-world Star Wars title. And in case you’re wondering then no; this isn’t a prank. This new Star Wars game will be coming on next-gen platforms and will most probably be powered by Frostbite 3. After all, this is the engine that will power most of EA’s latest titles. Now that’s impressive. YouTube’s ‘James Farr’ has posted a parody video that mixes together Star Wars universe and storyline with Nintendo’s characters. As its description reads, when Phantom Lord Ganon-Darth unveils his latest weapon, it will be up to Link Skywaker to learn the ways of the TRIFORCE, and lead a rag-tag rebellion against the Empire.
