Square Enix today revealed its DLC plans for Sleeping Dogs. According to the company, there will be a range of new downloads available at launch to help players get ahead of the game, including the 80s-inspired Retro Triad Pack, a killer old school outfit with its own player buffs and funky kung-fu van. New content packs are planned from September, beginning with a high-speed Racing Pack and an explosive SWAT Pack, while further announcements will follow soon. Square Enix has released an amazing new CG trailer for Final Fantasy XIV. The good news is that the CG is flawless and among the best we’ve ever seen. The bad news is that the game’s graphics won’t even come close to this quality. Seriously, this kind of trailers make us wish for some truly next-generation games that will push the graphical boundaries. Much like what Crysis did back in 2007. Oh well. An interesting video popped up on YouTube, featuring Stephen Shellen who was the voice behind David Sarif in Deus Ex: Human Revolution. According to the video, Shellen believes the Illuminati are coming for him, and his time is limited before he dies for real. Apparently, the Illuminati are spying on him at present, and he is due to die on July 30th 2012. We’ve seen countless of clever viral marketing tricks and this seems like one. Could Square Enix and EIDOS be gearing up for a new Deus Ex: Human Revolution DLC or a new Deus Ex game? After all, GamesCom is in a few days, meaning that this could very well be a hint for an upcoming announcement. Or is this simply Stephen trolling the gaming community? Developed by United Front Games in collaboration with Square Enix London Studios, Sleeping Dogs is a gritty open world cop drama set in the vibrant city of Hong Kong. Taking the role of undercover cop Wei Shen, players are tasked with taking down one of the world’s most fearsome criminal organizations from the inside – the Sun On Yee Triad.
