Slightly Mad Studios CEO Ian Bell has stated that the new part in the Project CARS series, Project CARS 3, will be a spiritual successor to Need for Speed Shift. Need for Speed Shift impressed everyone when it came out, especially thanks to its iconic cockpit viewpoint and Ian Bell said that pCars 3 will be more of a spiritual successor to Shift, but with all of the sim goodness everyone appreciate. It appears that Slightly Mad Studios is currently working on the sequel to Project CARS 2. Slightly Mad’s Ian Bell has confirmed that the team is working on the next part in the Project CARS series, which will most likely be called Project CARS 3, though he did not reveal any additional details.
