Grand Theft Auto V Still Scheduled For A January 27th Release On The PC

Two weeks ago, Rockstar claimed that the PC requirements for GTA V would be – hopefully – released before the end of 2014. Well, it’s January 2015 and there is still no word about them. Not only that, but Valve has not even set a specific release date for Rockstar’s title on Steam. As a result of these two things, a lot of gamers wondered whether GTA V PC has been – secretly – pushed back to February or even March. Grand Theft Auto V – Official PC System Requirements To Be Announced Next Week

In its latest Q&A, Rockstar revealed that the official PC requirements for GTA V will be announced in the coming week. Responding to a fan question, Rockstar confirmed that it is currently in the final stages of development on the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V, meaning that the game will actually hit our platform this January (hopefully). Hayssam ‘icelaglace’ Keilany has released a new set of screenshots for his upcoming iCEnhancer C mod for GTA IV. GTA IV iCEnhancer C will feature two presets, and the following images are based on its first one. According to the modder, the first preset will be less realistic than the second one. Let’s all admit one thing: GTA IV was an unoptimized mess, a performance hog title, and a game that was easily described as one of the most unoptimized games of 2008. Sure thing, Rockstar’s open world game runs better today – thanks mainly to new CPU processors – but its multi-core CPU support is still quite… laughable. Which really made everyone wonder whether the upcoming PC version of GTA V would suffer from such ‘porting’ issues.
