Good news – I guess – for Obsidian fans as the company that was behind so many beloved titles – that were full of bugs at their time of release – is working on a ‘unique next generation’ title. That is according to a job listing for a level design position. Project Eternity – First In-game Footage Looks Sexy

Obsidian Entertainment released the first footage of Project Eternity, which runs on Unity; showcasing the game’s water, trees, day/night and lighting system. Project Eternity is a 2D game, and looks bloody amazing. In fact, Obsidian has managed to create one of the best isometric prototypes – visually – we’ve ever seen, and the animation system is great even at this state of the game. This video showcases the gameplay mechanics of Aliens: Crucible, the environments, and the character creation menu. Guru3D’s member ‘pusscifer’ has stumbled upon a really interesting video from Obsidian’s cancelled Aliens RPG game. This video was uploaded Danny Garnett who has worked on Obsidian’s title and did some animations for the xenomorphs. Obsidian Entertainment Wants To Create A New Star Wars RPG

KOTOR 2 is considered one of the best Star Wars RPG games. It’s also considered as one of the buggiest games of all time (although Vampires: The Masquerade had even more bugs in our opinion). Still – and after the restoration mod for it – a lot of gamers want to see another Star Wars RPG, developed by the Obsidian team. Or at least that’s the vibe we get. Speaking with RPS, Obsidian’s CEO Feargus Urquhart admitted that the company is looking forward to creating a new Star Wars RPG, based between Episodes III and IV. Project Eternity Breaks PC Kickstarter Records; Hits Its $3.5 Million Goal

Before Project Eternity, Double Fine’s Adventure was the most successful PC Kickstarter project. Well, that has changed as Obsidian’s RPG has managed to earn $3.5 million and has hit its biggest stretched goal. This means that a new big city will be featured in Project Eternity. The game was originally meant to feature one city but after reaching its biggest goal, a second will be added to it. Project Eternity – First Screenshot Revealed

Obsidian Entertainment has released the first screenshot of Project Eternity and it looks bloody gorgeous. Project Eternity is an isometric, party-based computer RPG set in a new fantasy world, that aims to recapture the magic, imagination, depth, and nostalgia of classic RPG’s that we enjoyed making – and playing. Its Kickstarter campaign ends in 5 days and the company has managed to earn 2.7 million dollars.
