Konami has revealed – via the preview build of the game’s PC version – the system requirements for Pro Evolution Soccer 2014. According to the official specs, PC gamers will need at least a Pentium D 820 2.8GHz or an Athlon LE-1640 to play this upcoming soccer title. PES 2014 will support Windows XP and will support neither DX10, nor DX11. A little bit disappointing as the game is based on the FOX Engine, therefore we were expecting to see what that engine is capable of. Konami has released two Gamescom 2013 trailers for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. The first trailer is focused on the game’s story, while the second features some gameplay action. Our reader ‘k-man’ sent us some screenshots of Silent Hill: Homecoming. k-man downsampled the game from a higher resolution, and used a custom ENBSeries mod, as well as a mod that removes the film grain. The end result is great, though you should keep in mind that: a) Silent Hill: Homecoming was released in 2008 on the PC and b) it cannot come close to next-gen titles, despite the efforts. Konami Digital has announced that Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 will be available in retail stores nationwide in North, Central and South America on September 24, 2013 for PS3 and X360. Unfortunately, the Japanese company did not comment on the PC version. This does not mean that it got canceled, but rather that it has been delayed. Despite the fact that Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is one of the most anticipated titles of 2013, Mercury Steam – the studio that is currently developing the latest Castlevania games – is not willing to produce any further games based on the Castlevania universe. This may come as a surprise to some but according to Dave Cox, head of UK Studio at Konami Digital Entertainment and Producer of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Series, both Mercury Steam and Konami want to simply move forward and explore new universes.
