Intel’s Kaby Lake CPUs are now available, performing slightly better than Skylake
Intel has just released the Kaby Lake Core i5 7600K and Core i7 7700K processors. These processors aim to replace the Skylake Core i7-6700K and Core i5-6600K. The Core i5 7600K is priced at $242 while the Core i7 7700K is priced at $339, and both of them work in existing LGA 1151 motherboards. Intel’s upcoming i7-7700K appears to be running slower than the i7-6700K in clock-to-clock scenarios
Intel will release its new CPUs that are based on the Kaby Lake architecture in January, however things are not looking good. Expressview has tested this brand new CPU and compared it with the previous i7 CPU, the i7-6700K. And while the i7-7700K appears to be slightly faster than the i7-6700K at default settings, that’s mostly due to its increased Turbo boost and not due to its new architecture. Steam Survey – 29% Of Steam Users Running Win10, 54% Owning NVIDIA GPU, 67% Owning DX12 System
Steam’s November 2015 Hardware Survey has been revealed and some really interesting details can be extracted from that survey. According to the monthly survey, 29% of Steam users are running Windows 10. And let us tell you this is a huge jump compared to Steam’s August stats. Back in August, 17% of Steam’s users were running Windows 10. Therefore, we’re looking at a 59% increase in just 3 months. AMD’s Public Mantle SDK Coming This Year, NVIDIA & Intel Free To Use It
During a presentation by AMD’s Richard Huddy at PDXLAN, the Red team revealed that the public SDK for its lower level API, Mantle, will go live this year. As WCCFTECH reported, both Nvidia and Intel are free to write and release drivers that will enable Mantle on their hardware on all Mantle-enabled games once this public SDK goes live.
