New Elite: Dangerous Footage Emerges

Frontier Developments has revealed a new gameplay clip from its upcoming Elite sequel, Elite: Dangerous. This video showcases the multiplayer mode and the some of the ships that will be featured in it. As you may have guessed, Elite: Dangerous is still in pre-alpha stage, thus there is no HUD and the ship trails are simple placeholders. Elite: Dangerous has rich procedural cloudscapes, first early footage unveiled

David Braben and Frontier Developments have unveiled the first early footage of Elite: Dangerous, the sequel to the classic Elite space game. In this video, Braben talks about procedural content and showcases some rich cloudscapes that can be generated by their procedural techniques. Classic Space Trading PC Game ‘Elite’ Comes Back With A Punch; Elite: Dangerous on Kickstarter

Good news for all Elite fans, as David Braben’s Frontier Developments has launched a Kickstarter UK project Elite: Dangerous on PC. In this new Elite game, players will begin with a spacecraft and a small sum of Credits and they will be able to trade, pirate, bounty-hunt, explore, and salvage their way to wealth and fame, building on those key elements of the previous games, and with sumptuous graphics only now possible with the performance of today’s machines.
