Battlefield 4 – Two New Screenshots Released

DICE and Electronic Arts have released two new screenshots for Battlefield 4. The first shot illustrates ‘Levolution’ on Siege of Shanghai map, while the second one shows off the detail on the in-game characters. Battlefield 4 will be available November 1st for X360, PS3 and PC. The Project Reality team announced this weekend that the open beta phase of its highly realistic mod for Battlefield 2 has been launched. According to the team, this open beta release is a crucial part of the development cycle. The team is providing two 100 player game servers for the duration, one for US based players and one for EU based players and aims to stress this mod’s capabilities in order to address most of its bugs/issues. BioWare has revealed some new in-engine screenshots for Dragon Age: Inquisition. Dragon Age: Inquisition will be powered by Frostbite 3 and promises to be bigger and better than its predecessor. By now, some of you may have noticed some Battlefield 4 alpha invitations in your mailbox. No no no, those are not phishing emails (at least those originating from EA). These are indeed some BF4 alpha keys that were sent by EA itself. However, those keys won’t work as the keys were sent by accident since EA does not plan a second wave of alpha invites for DICE’s FPS. DICE and Electronic Arts have released a new trailer for Battlefield 4, showcasing some of the features that will be supported by Frostbite 3. Battlefield 4 promises to give players the freedom to do more and be more for an unrivalled entertainment experience, and will feature dynamic destructible environments. Battlefield 4 will be also a seminal moment for the Battlefield series as more multiplayer game design elements are incorporated into the single-player campaign. In single-player, gamers will experience huge environments, a playground of destruction, access to an arsenal of vehicles and the ability to direct squad mates. Enjoy! The alpha testing phase of Battlefield 4 is underway and as you’d expect, some gamers have already leaked a couple of gameplay videos from it. This alpha testing features ‘un-textured’ environments and is packed with visuals similar to those of the leaked MP screenshots of BF4; screenshots that were leaked a week or so ago. Battlefield 4 – Alpha Test Starts Today, Won’t Support Windows 8 or 32bit OS Systems

E3 is over but Battlefield fans can look forward to even more news about DICE’s upcoming title. According to an email we got, the alpha testing phase of Battlefield 4 will start later today, and Electronic Arts has released the minimum specs for this alpha build. According to those specs, Battlefield 4’s alpha build won’t support Windows 8 or 32bit OS systems. We don’t know whether the final build will have these restrictions, but we do know that DICE wanted to release games that would be exclusive to 64-bit OS systems.
