Square Enix has just announced that Dungeon Siege 3 will receive a DLC this October. The DLC – called Treasures of the Sun – will be released on all platforms and will be priced at $9.99. Great news for all those Dungeon Siege fans, as Obsidian released the much anticipated patch for Dungeon Siege 3. This is the first major patch for Dungeon Siege 3 and Obsidian has implemented two new controls that will allow the player to move left or right (think strafing). As we’ve informed you at our Performance Analysis of Dungeon Siege III, Obsidian’s game had various SLI issues. To be more precise, there were a lot of places where the game didn’t scale well and offered pretty low performance. Obsidian announced the details of their upcoming patch for the PC version of Dungeon Siege III. The team is currently working to fix some of the issues that people have brought up for the retail release of the game. Although we don’t have any ETA, we do know that the first patch will slightly change the control functionality and will fix a startup crash and some graphical issues that AMD owners were experiencing when forcing AA on via the Catalyst Control Center.
