A few months ago, a team recreated the Battlefield 2 intro in Battlefield 3. Naturally, the team felt the need to keep it up and we are happy to report that they have recreated the Battlefield 1942 Intro in Battlefield 3. EA and DICE hint at an upcoming DLC for Battlefield 3

Good news for all Battlefield 3 fans as DICE and Electronic Arts are possibly working on a new DLC for Battlefield 3. Although the companies have not revealed any new info about it, they have stated that they are playtesting some impressive things in the Studio. Massive Changelog for Battlefield 3’s Upcoming Patch; lots of balance tweaks in weapons and vehicles

DICE and Electronic Arts have revealed the changelog for Battlefield 3’s upcoming patch. Although there is no ETA as of yet, the changelog is huge and could possibly be the best we’ve ever seen. The list is not complete and DICE is still working on improving online gameplay, fixing bugs and tweaking the game’s mechanics. Some of the changes are increased spawn protection, balance tweaks for lots of weapons and vehicles, as well as improvements to some general gameplay features. Battlefield 3 – Next Major Patch won’t be coming in February

There was a rumor, early last month, that the next big patch for Battlefield 3 would be hitting platforms in February. Among other things, this rumored patch would include in the PC version a Commo Rose 2.0, that is currently in development by DICE. Battlefield 3 – DICE is working on an improved version of Commo Rose

Remember when everyone was jumping around – prior to Battlefield 3’s release – due to the fact that Commo Rose would be included in it? Oh the joy. Fast forward some months though and we can clearly see that Commo Rose is broken. Not only that, but it seems that it is there only for the sake of being there. In other words, Commo Rose is there in order to satisfy some old fans, and while it does that, it just isn’t useful in its current form. Battlefield 3 PC minor update introduces Punkbuster issue, DICE is working on it

That’s hilarious. A new update for the PC version of Battlefield 3 has rolled out and guess what; it comes with that awful ‘Corrupted File/Memory [9808096]’ issue that was introduced some months ago. Since this morning, a lot of PC gamers have been kicked/banned from the public servers due to that issue, while others had to manually update Punkbuster in order to play the game. Battlefield 3 fans, be advised; Origin is down, EA is looking into it

Friday, what a lovely day, right? It’s the end of your working day, the day before weekend, the day when you can finally play your favourite game. Oh, God bless Friday. And what happens when you try to play Battlefield 3? Nothing. Nada. Why? But because Origin is down… or should I say ‘broken’ since you can’t login and even if you do, you get a lovely crash. Oh, and you won’t be able to see the games that you’ve purchased in your account. Lovely. First Ubisoft with their servers issues and now EA. Can it get any better? Battlefield 3 – RendeZook in real life

Remember that mind-blowing RendeZook video of Battlefield 3? You know, the one that a player exits his plane in mid-air, destroys an enemy airplane with a rocket, and then re-enters it? Well, YouTube member ‘ThereIsaCanal’ went ahead and recreated that scene in real life. This is really mind-blowing and you should definitely take a look at it. DICE’s Rendering Architect to talk in GDC2012; new terrain talk about what DICE has been working on since for FB2

GDC2012 starts in almost 5 weeks and DICE’s rendering architect, Johan Andersson, has revealed that DICE will attend and he will talk about the terrain system in Frostbite 2 as it was applied in Battlefield 3. According to GDC’s schedule, session is partitioned into three parts. The first part consists the scalability aspects, while the second will be focussed towards workflow aspects and describe how DICE has achieved full in-game realtime editing.
