Modder ‘SparrowPrince’ has released a new mod for Skyrim that aims to enhance the blurry and ugly distant textures of it. According to its description, this mod basically takes 3060 LOD textures (it was as boring as it sounds to make) and applies the smallest amount of noise the modder could to them without making the landscape look too dark. Zenimax Online and Bethesda have showcased The Elder Scrolls Online in this year’s QuakeCon. A lot of Prey 2 fans hoped to see – or at least hear something about it – in this year’s QuakeCon. Well, bad news everyone as Prey 2 was not present. Still, some screenshots were leaked a couple of hours ago from what seems to be an early build of the game. Bethesda has not confirmed anything yet, so take them with a grain of salt. Bethesda announced today – via its Vice President, Pete Hines – that Wolfenstein: The New Order will be delayed to 2014. According to Hines, Bethesda felt that the game deserved ‘some additional time for polish’ and that’s the reason behind this delay. Wolfenstein: The New Order was originally planned for a Q4 2013 release on PC, X360 and PS3. A release for next-gen platforms (Xbox One and PS4) was also planned for 2014. Bethesda has released a new set of screenshots for The Evil Within. Developed by Shinji Mikami – creator of the seminal Resident Evil series – and Tango Gameworks, The Evil Within promises to embody the meaning of pure survival horror. Players will experience a disturbing reality as they try to break free from warped machinations that could only exist in the most horrifying worlds. Earlier today, YouTube’s member ‘Scotty Mcbotley’ posted a video containing 10 minutes of gameplay footage from The Elder Scrolls Online. Bethesda was quick to react, however the video got leaked and is currently available in a lot of video sharing websites. As you may have guessed, this is footage from an early build, meaning that this does not represent the final product. And for the time being, we’ll give Zenimax Online the benefit of doubt.
