Beamdog has released the Windows and Mac versions of Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition. Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition combines both Baldur’s Gate II: Shadows of Amn and Baldur’s Gate II: Throne of Bhaal. In addition, the game features full widescreen support, remastered area artwork from original renders, and a host of other interface and gameplay improvements. Beamdog, Atari, and Overhaul Games announced today that pre-purchasing for Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition on Mac and PC has begun, in preparation for release on November 15th, 2013. Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition – First Update Released

Overhaul Games has released the first update for the enhanced edition of Baldur’s Gate. According to its changelog, this patch will update the game’s version to v1.0.2011 and adds a new movie for resting in dungeon and inn, brings various tweaks to the game’s UI screens, fixes a number of crashes and fixes various bugs. Holy Moly – Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition – Gameplay Trailer

Great news everyone as Beamdog has released the first gameplay trailer of Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition. Running on an upgraded and improved version of the Infinity Engine, Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition includes the entire Baldur’s Gate adventure, the Tales of the Sword Coast expansion pack, and never-before-seen content including a new adventure and three new party members: the Calishite monk Rasaad yn Bashir, Neera the wild mage, and Dorn Il-Khan, the evil blackguard. Beamdog’s Trent Oster teases two new adventure games

Beamdog seems hard at work lately and Trent Oster has revealed that the company has two new adventure games in store for us. A couple of days ago, Oster said that they’ve done some placeholder voice overs for characters in a new adventure that is currently in works and will be temporary called as Adventure X. Baldur’s Gate Enhanced Edition – post-launch content confirmed, AI pathfinding will be tweaked

Trent Oster has revealed some new interesting information about the Enhanced Edition of both Baldur’s Gate and Baldur’s Gate 2. According to Oster, there are currently 8 ex-BioWare developers working on it and the game’s UI is being reworked. Oster also admitted that they are pretty anxious to keep both of the Enhanced Editions going after release and that new content is a big part of those plans. In other words, we can expect some post-launch DLCs for it. It has not been decided yet whether these will be for free or not. Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition comes to OSX, multiplayer cross-platform support confirmed

Beamdog’s Trent Oster has revealed more interesting details about their upcoming enhanced edition of Baldur’s Gate. First and foremost, this new version will be coming to OSX and there will be multiplayer cross-platform support between Mac/PC and iOS devices. Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition will be compatible with all iPads, overhauled UI for the PC version

Beamdog’s Trent Oster has revealed some interesting new details about the enhanced edition of Baldur’s Gate and their future projects. The team has announced that the game will be coming to iPad – suggesting that those earlier rumors for an iPad version were actually true – and will be compatible with all of its models. Yeap, Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition will be compatible with iPad 1, 2, and 3. Moreover, the team is targetting for a $10 USD price, although nothing is certain right now. Beamdog wants to create Baldur’s Gate 3

A couple of days ago, Beamdog announced that they are developing an Enhanced Edition for the first two Baldur’s Gate games. Awesome news, right? But did you know that the ultimate goal of that indie studio was to create the third part of this legendary series? New details for Baldur’s Gate Enhanced Edition; 2D graphics, mod friendly, incoming first screenshots

As we told you a couple of hours ago, Baldur’s Gate 1 & 2 will get an Enhanced Edition that will be released this Summer. Naturally, PC fans of those two games had a lot of questions and Trent Oster decided to answer most of them. So, we know for a fact now that this will come to the PC. Contrary to the previous iOS/Android rumors, there is currently only the PC version confirmed that will be unleashed this Summer. Moreover, the Enhanced Editions will be 2D games and not 3D remakes. Beamdog will use our GPUs mainly for acceleration purposes, but hope that they’ll implement some good tricks to slightly improve the graphics.
