As we said in our Performance Analysis, Batman: Arkham Origins looks great for a multi-platform title. However, the inclusion of TXAA brings an additional layer of blurriness that Nvidia users have to deal with. Well, not anymore. Thanks to SweetFX, PC gamers can enjoy crisp graphics, even by using this blurry AA technique (that does an amazing job at eliminating jaggies mind you, so there is still a reason to actually use it). In order to overhaul the game’s visuals, we added a bit sharpening, boosted the game’s shadows and retained its dark atmosphere, added more color to give it a more cinematic look, and enhanced the lighting system. Batman: Arkham Origins is a title we’ve been looking forward to, and that’s primarily because we wanted to see whether Warner Montreal would optimize the game’s PC version or not. Would the game suffer from stuttering issues? Would the game run as awful as its predecessor, Arkham City? And would its PhysX effects bring current gen systems to their knees? Batman: Arkham Origins Now Available, Nvidia Releases Graphics & Performance Guide

Batman: Arkham Origins has just been released, and Nvidia’s Andrew Iain Burnes has informed us about an interesting article that covers the graphical settings of it. Batman: Arkham Origins supports tessellation (for Batman’s cape and snow), a new DOF technique, TXAA, PhysX effects, HBAO+ and Percentage Closer Soft Shadows. According to Andrew, only PhysX and TXAA are exclusive to Nvidia cards (and HBAO+ as its an Nvidia technique), meaning that all other techniques should work with other GPUs. Warner Bros released yesterday a 17 minutes gameplay walkthrough of Batman: Arkham Origins. Batman: Arkham Origins was showcased at Nvidia’s event yesterday and YouTube’s member ‘MKIceVsFire’ has managed to capture 40 minutes of new gameplay footage. Warner Bros today announced the Season Pass for Batman: Arkham Origins. According to the press release, the Batman: Arkham Origins Season Pass (for PS3, X360, WiiU or PC) will be available at launch for £15.99 (£27.99 value) and grants purchasers access to five of the game’s upcoming downloadable content packs, one of which includes two exclusive skins. Warner Bros has released a new trailer for Batman: Arkham Origins. featuring gameplay from the playable Deathstroke challenge pack, including a sneak peak at the “100-to-1” gameplay mode. The Deathstroke challenge pack will be available to those who preorder the game for PS3, X360, Wii U or PC, and will include a fully playable Deathstroke character, two exclusive challenge maps and three unique Deathstroke character skins. A while back, we informed you about the PC features of Batman: Arkham Origins. According to Nvidia’s slides, Batman: Arkham Origins will support GPU PhysX effects, as well as DX11, tessellation and TXAA. Warner Bros has released a Gamescom 2013 trailer for its upcoming Batman title, Batman: Arkham Origins. This new trailer reveals a new assassin who is no other than Firefly. Batman: Arkham Origins features an expanded Gotham City and introduces an original prequel storyline set several years before the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City.
