I seriously don’t know whether or not this bad news. Batman fans – and especially those located in US – will have to wait a little longer, as Steam has moved the game’s European and US release date to November 25th and November 18th, respectively. Of course those located in the land of the free will be quite disappointed, but fear not as a lot of PC games are coming these days. Continue reading Batman: Arkham City PC Slightly Delayed

Batman: Arkham City – PhysX Demonstration

Nvidia has just uploaded a video that demonstrates the difference between the PhysX and the non-PhysX version of Batman: Arkham City PC. All those PhysX effects definitely add points to the game’s atmosphere so there is no reason to get upset for its delay, as it seems that it might be worth the wait. There is word that all those PhysX effects will be able to run on the CPU too, but nothing is really certain at this point. Batman: Arkham City will also support Nvidia’s 3D Vision, as well as DX11 features. You can also view its first DX11 screenshot after the jump. Enjoy! Batman: Arkham City PC won’t support PhysX V3.0 SDK

As we’ve mentioned a lot of times, PhysX was lacking in terms of multithread support and as a result of that, most PC games that featured hardware accelerated PhysX effects were plagued with low GPU usage. In other words, PhysX is bugged and in an attempt to fix those major issues, Nvidia released a new version of the PhysX SDK that offers better multithread support. This also explains the somehow choppy performance you may have encountered with PhysX heavy games like Cryostasis. Continue reading Batman: Arkham City PC won’t support PhysX V3.0 SDK
