Baldur’s Gate 3 will be powered by new technology; will remain a top-down game

Trent Oster has revealed some juicy details about the rumored third part of the Baldur’s Gate series. According to Oster, Baldur’s Gate will be powered by new technology and not by the engine that is behind Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition and Baldur’s Gate 2: Enhanced Edition. Although nothing is confirmed at this point, and Overhaul’s current plans have nothing to do with the Black Hound concept. Beamdog wants to create Baldur’s Gate 3

A couple of days ago, Beamdog announced that they are developing an Enhanced Edition for the first two Baldur’s Gate games. Awesome news, right? But did you know that the ultimate goal of that indie studio was to create the third part of this legendary series?
