Larian Studios has revealed that the first gameplay footage for Baldur’s Gate 3 will be unveiled at PAX East 2020. On February 27 at 15:30 ET, the team will reveal this first gameplay footage. The team will also share more details and news about this new Baldur’s Gate game.
Unfortunately, we don’t know much about Baldur’s Gate 3. We know it will be an RPG and that its development started in 2017. The team aims to make the best CRPG it can make. Moreover, Baldur’s Gate 3 is going to get wider and wider in terms of choice and consequence and depth and immersion.
Lastly, Baldur’s Gate 3 will be coming on Steam and GOG, but not on the Epic Games Store.

Well, Wizards of the Coast is notorious for being extremely woke (and harboring pedophiles), so it really depends on how much creative control Larian has.

Most likely I would say.
Not really turned based, it will be similar to other types in the genre where you can pause and its based on dice rolls.
I’d say by the amount of mocap in that vid, there’s no way it’s an old school style iso. Def a triple A title, which means it should compete with how modern ARPG’s look and play. What will make or break it is how easy it is to control multiple chars at once. Big shoes for a (until now) minor player in Larian.
And considering it’s BG3 (and not a D:OS game), it’s hard to imagine them pissing off the fans of the franchise and making it anything but real time pause. Maybe it will have both?
All of the main Baldur’s Gate games have been real-time with pause. The game will likely feature a real-time combat system based on Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition rules unless Larian really f*ks up development.

Don’t get your hopes up too much. It all depends on how much Wizards of the Coast tries to meddle with development.
Baldur’s Gate + Larian = Practically guaranteed to be great.
Just glad whatever sjw/pc abomination that comprises BioWare these days, isn’t making this thing. BioWare is just a name, and this would be a worthless pile of dogs**t under their design.
