Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Can Actually Look Gorgeous – Comparison Between Modded And Vanilla

So you thought that Black Ops 2 looks ugly, right? Well, you are partially right as the vanilla version looks awful. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 – PC Performance Analysis

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 is finally here with us, so it’s time to see how Treyarch’s title performs on the PC platform. Treyarch decided to scrap the DX9 in favor of a brand new DX11 renderer that is said to be better optimized than the previous one. And it seems that the company was partially right. Unfortunately though, Black Ops 2 is still a CPU-bound game and does not take advantage of more than two CPU cores. This is an issue that has been present since Modern Warfare 2, and although Black Ops 2 is not as CPU-bound as the first Black Ops game (or World at War), it still needs a high clocked CPU in order to be enjoyed. Hilarious – PC owners of Black Ops 2 are getting a Mass Effect 2 disc read error

Okay, this is awesome. Black Ops 2 has been released and a number of PC owners are reporting an unexpected disc read error with the second DVD disc of Treyarch’s FPS title. It appears that some discs have been labeled as Mass Effect 2 discs, which sounds really weird. At first, we thought this was a bad joke as it’s well known that you can use two DVD-drives to fool people. However, we’ve been getting one hell of reports (on both Activision‘s and Steam‘s forums) about this exact thing, meaning that there might be something wrong with the retail PC version of Black Ops 2. Diablo III Expansion Confirmed, StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm Dated

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 PC – FOV Is Locked At 80, Ranked Matches Capped at 120fps [UPDATE]

Remember Treyarch’s promises about an unlocked FOV for Black Ops 2 and unlimited FPS? Well, it seems that won’t be the case as Treyarch’s PC Community Manager has just revealed that the max FOV will be 80 and there won’t be any option to further raise it. According to the CM, Treyarch experienced technical issues and that’s why they could not offer a higher FOV. Guess the move to the DX11 renderer was not as ideal as they were hoping to, right? It’s also ironic that Treyarch talks about technical limitations, as it’s proven that a FOV change can be easily achieved even by third-party, fan made tools. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 – X360 Version Leaked One Week Before Release

Black Ops 2 fans, we’ve got some bad and some good news for you today. The good news is that the PC version of the game has not been leaked, meaning that Activision won’t be able to blame piracy for lower than expected PC sales. The bad news is that the X360 version has been leaked, one week before release, meaning that Internet will get flooded with spoilers, screenshots, leaked footages and opinions about Treyarch’s title before its official launch. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 – LG Cinema 3D TV Commercial

Activision and LG have released a new trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 that showcases how shocked gamers will actually be with the 3D version of Black Ops 2. As with all 3D commercials, they exagerate in order to impress everyone (and especially teenagers who have not experienced 3D before). On the other hand, though, it will be interesting to see whether consoles will be able to handle this title in 3D and whether there will be any noticeable slowdowns. It will also be interesting to see how the new DX11 renderer will handle 3D on the PC. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is planned for a November 12th release on PC, X360 and PS3. Enjoy! Infinity Ward is developing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 according to Captain Price voice-actor [UPDATE]

Well, this was to be expected. It’s well known that Treyarch and Infinity Ward shared (and will continue sharing) the Call of Duty franchise year on year, and since Black Ops 2 is almost upon us, one can only guess what Infinity Ward has been up to this whole time. Yeap, the company is obviously working on the sequel to Modern Warfare 3, something that was confirmed by the voice-actor of Captain Price. Shocking, right?
