Unreal Engine 5.7 Venice Tech Demo

Unreal Engine 5.7 Venice Next-Gen Tech Demo Released

Scans Factory has just released a new Unreal Engine 5.7 Next-Gen Tech Demo that you can download and try. This tech demo shows off the Italian city, Venice, in the latest version of UE5. The demo takes full advantage of Lumen and Nanite, and it can give you a glimpse at what the games using UE5.7 may look like.

Scans Factory has used over 500 assets to create this demo. The team has designed stylized modular buildings, streets, bridges, and other local structures. Players will find small courtyards where freshly washed laundry hangs and daily life unfolds, cosy cafés surrounded by citrus trees and flowers, and a beautiful square filled with historic landmarks.

I’ve tested this tech demo on my main PC gaming system. That PC system is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D, 32GB of DDR5 at 6000Mhz, and an NVIDIA RTX 5090. I also used Windows 10 64-bit, and the GeForce 581.80 driver.

At Native 4K with Cinematic Settings, the demo was running with 40FPS. Sadly, there is no support for DLSS 4. The good news is that the Ultra settings look amazing and perform way better than the Cinematic Settings. By dropping the settings to Ultra, I was able to get framerates over 65FPS at all times. That’s on Native 4K. So, this is a well-optimized UE5.7 tech demo.

You can go ahead and download the tech demo from this link. At the end of the article, you can also find a walkthrough video of it. I’ve also included another video that compares its UE5.4 and UE5.7 versions. This will give you a glimpse at the performance improvements that Unreal Engine 5.7 brings to the table.

Speaking of Unreal Engine, I recommend trying out these other free fan-made demos. You can grab a Superman UE5 Demo, a Halo 3: ODST Remake, and a Spider-Man UE5 Demo. There’s also a fan-made version of STALKER in Unreal Engine 5. If you love old-school FPS games, you should check out this remake of the classic FPS Blood in Epic’s engine. For Mario fans, we have this cool Super Mario Galaxy Tech Demo in Unreal Engine 5.

And that’s not all. There is a cool remake of Halo: Combat Evolved’s Halo level in UE5 that you can download. Or how about this free Attack on Titan game? Then we have the fan remakes for Dino Crisis 2 and MediEvil 2. Plus, there is an amazing fan remake of Sonic Adventure 2, called Sonic Adventure 2 Redux. Zelda fans can get this fan remake of Ocarina of Time. Oh, and let’s not forget the amazing ports of Skyrim and Oblivion.

Owners of high-end GPUs can also try these two tech demos. The first one features a Witcher-like environment. The second shows off a Rome Italian Town. Last month, we also shared a demo of King’s Field 2 in UE5. Finally, we have The Lord of the Rings: Conquest Reimagined in Unreal Engine 5, a remake of Flappy Bird, a demo for Need for Speed: Underground 2, and a Diablo 2 Remake Demo. They all look awesome, so be sure to give them a try.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
