Skyrim Demo in Unreal Engine 5

Skyrim Unreal Engine 5.6 Demo Available for Download

Skyrim fans, here is something for you today. A new demo for the unofficial port of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim in Unreal Engine 5.6 has been released. This demo will let you explore the world of Skyrim in Unreal Engine 5. So, if you are a fan of this TES game, you should definitely try it.

Created by Greg Coulthard, this project simply ports the entire map of Skyrim to UE5. All the assets used here are from the original game. As Coulthard has noted, his goal wasn’t to upgrade the game’s graphics. Instead, he wanted to see whether or not it was possible to port Skyrim’s map to UE5 and how it would look in it.

As with the previous demo, this new one does not have any gameplay, combat or RPG mechanics. It doesn’t even have any quests. It simply lets you explore Skyrim’s world. And yes, there are some minor graphical enhancements. However, you should not expect much from it. So, consider this a cool demo concept (and not a remake).

You can go ahead and download the demo from this link. At the end of the article, you can also find a video that showcases this new version. So, if you don’t want to download it, you can at least watch that video to get an idea of what it’s all about.

Speaking of Unreal Engine 5, I recommend trying out these other free fan-made demos. You can grab a Superman UE5 Demo, a Halo 3: ODST Remake, and a Spider-Man UE5 Demo. There’s also a fan-made version of STALKER in Unreal Engine 5. If you love old-school FPS games, you should check out this remake of the classic FPS Blood in Epic’s engine. For Mario fans, we have this cool Super Mario Galaxy Tech Demo in Unreal Engine 5.

And that’s not all. There is a cool remake of Halo: Combat Evolved’s Halo level in UE5 that you can download. Or how about this free Attack on Titan game? Then we have the fan remakes for Dino Crisis 2 and MediEvil 2. Plus, there is an amazing fan remake of Sonic Adventure 2, called Sonic Adventure 2 Redux. Oh, and let’s not forget the amazing ports of Skyrim and Oblivion.

Owners of high-end GPUs can also try these two tech demos. The first one features a Witcher-like environment. The second shows off a Rome Italian Town. Last month, we also shared a demo of King’s Field 2 in UE5. Finally, we have The Lord of the Rings: Conquest Reimagined in Unreal Engine 5, a remake of Flappy Bird, a demo for Need for Speed: Underground 2, and a Diablo 2 Remake Demo. They all look awesome, so be sure to give them a try.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

  1. Oooh very nice to do a flyby! And the video starts with Secunda from the OST, it's forcing me to download it! Also nice to check the 5.6 performance

  2. John do you play skyrim with Japanese voice over and english subtitiles too or that's just exlusive to Japanese games? Please clarify

    1. I downloaded the "Demo"… It is set in the config file to render at 1280×720, and display at 1920×1080… There are no in-game menus, no in-game settings, etc… It's basically just a "fly around Skyrim with extremely blurry graphics" simulator…

I forced it to render and display at 1440p in the config file, but you can't disable the motion blur or change what Anti-Aliasing the game is using (other than to change the quality).

  3. I just started playing the Pathfinder RPGs for the first time… (yeah, I always play games years later after their release)

Guys, you could have warned me.😭
I hadn't barfed hard like that in a long time. 🤢🤢🤢
In the contest for WOKEST games ever (pro-LGBT and feminist, mainly), the Pathfinder games might take the crown, really. This might be even worse than Veilguard.
Uninstalled as quickly as I could.

    1. yeah i saw someone shilling it in a fallout channel, i saw it and its bioware cringe, hard to believe this game is made by russians. No idea what people mean when they say its not woke.

      Play colony ship instead.
