Build A Rocket Boy has just released the third update for its single-player action game, MindsEye. The update is out now on consoles and is about 4GB. However, the PC version of the update has been delayed because the team found a bug that hurt performance.
The devs said that the performance problem only affects the PC version, not consoles. So, they chose to delay the PC update until it’s fixed. Once they know when the PC update will be ready, they will let everyone know on their social media pages.
Now that’s covered, let’s talk about what this third update includes. The update will make the game more stable. The devs said they have fixed many crashes, especially ones that happen during long play sessions. They also fixed crashes caused by AI during big combat scenes.
Patch #3 will make enemies smarter and better at aiming in all difficulty levels. This means the game will be harder and fights will feel more fair and exciting. Before, many people said the game was too easy, even when they saw the early trailers. So, this is a good change. Also, on Medium difficulty, enemies will now do more damage, making battles a bit tougher.
Title Update #3 will make it easier and smoother for your character to move into cover. It will also improve how your character walks on stairs, so animations look better and line up with the steps. On top of that, using weapons while getting in and out of cover will feel more natural and work better.
And that’s not all. The devs have made many more improvements. They made the life scene animations smoother, so characters move more naturally. They also fixed how vehicles behave on hills, so cars now stop in a more stable and realistic way. Some strange bugs with the AI were fixed, too. Plus, they improved how things look during cutscenes by fixing LOD issues and making some scenes run better.
Naturally, this update comes with numerous bug fixes. I’ve listed all of them below, so be sure to check them out.
All in all, the devs are currently focusing on fixing major gameplay issues that plagued the game. This means that you should NOT expect any performance improvements when the PC update comes out. I’m just saying this so that you can temper your expectations. The game will still stutter and perform similarly to its current version.
Once the PC patch comes out, I’ll be sure to update this story. Until then, you can take a look at its full changelog.

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
