Avowed Patch 1.3.0 Released, Featuring Over 350 Fixes & Tweaks

Obsidian has released Title Update 1.3.0 for Avowed, which has over 350 fixes and tweaks, and shared its full patch notes. So, let’s take a look at some of its improvements, shall we?

Patch 1.3.0 will allow players players to receive an additional talent point at levels 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30. Players with save files past those levels will receive the additional points. Moreover, this update adds a new FOV setting. On PC, players using mouse and keyboard can now toggle between walking and running. Plus, there is now a new option that increases the font size and applies bold styling to all documents, tutorials, in-game pop-ups, and the ledger’s quest tab.

Update 1.3.0 also packs some performance improvements. For instance, it optimizes elemental accumulation effects for better performance. It also optimizes the Tebaru Sanakis spirit visuals to improve performance. The wall textures in Emerald Stair Pargrunen Cache will also now render properly.

It’s also worth noting that the game will be now more stable than before. The devs have fixed a Fast Travel crash that could sometimes occur. The patch also fixes a save data issue causing crashes related to encounter spawning enemies with save/loading. Main menu frame rate is now capped to prevent crashes and hardware issues. Plus, the devs fixed a rare crash affecting ROG Ally and Intel-integrated laptops.

Finally, Patch 1.3.0 has a lot of bug fixes related to quests. So, kudos to the devs for fixing all those issues. I’ve finished the game when it came out and did not encounter any game-breaking issues. I also don’t believe this will make new gamers buy Avowed. Still, it’s good to see all those fixes.

Like always, Steam will download this update the next time you launch its client. Since the changelog is huge, I won’t include it below. Those interested can read the full patch notes here.

Stay tuned for more!
