Secret Mode has officially announced that Star Wars: Galactic Racer will be released on October 6. To celebrate this announcement, the publisher has also shared a new trailer that you can find below.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer is a high-stakes reinvention of racing born in the lawless Outer Rim. Players will slam, shunt, and takedown rivals across varied circuits as you pilot landspeeders, speeder bikes, skim speeders, and podracers.
Players will be able to pilot different classes of repulsorcraft, each with distinct physics and playstyles. They will build a ride that showcases their style and gives them a competitive edge.
The game will offer a solo story-driven campaign. Moreover, it will have PvP multiplayer races.
A few days ago, Secret Mode removed Denuvo from the Steam store page. At that time, we assumed that the game would release without it. However, Secret Mode has re-added it to the Steam store page.
It’s a shame, as a lot of people assumed that Secret Mode would do the right thing here. I get why most publishers use Denuvo. In the past, Denuvo could protect games for months or even years. However, with the HYPERVISOR bypasses appearing almost a day after a game’s release, anyone who wants to pirate the game won’t be stopped by Denuvo anymore.
Ultimately, I hope that Secret Mode will at least follow the example of some publishers and remove Denuvo a year after its PC release. For instance, Capcom has removed Denuvo from a lot of its PC titles. In November 2025, they removed it from Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny. Monster Hunter Rise, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, and Resident Evil Village are also Denuvo-free as we speak. Similarly, Resident Evil 2 Remake and Resident Evil 3 Remake no longer use it. In July 2025, the Japanese team also removed it from Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess. Plus, Capcom has recently removed it from Resident Evil 4 Remake. So, it will be interesting to see when the team will remove it from Requiem.
Another publisher that has removed Denuvo from its games is Square Enix. For instance, it has removed it from DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake. In December 2025, they also removed it from Just Cause 3. SE has also removed it from The Diofield Chronicle, VALKYRIE ELYSIUM, TRIANGLE STRATEGY, LIVE A LIVE, and Forspoken. Moreover, both Octopath Traveler and its sequel no longer use it. And that’s not all. In May 2024, SE removed it from Star Ocean The Second Story R. Finally, in March 2025, the publisher removed it from Final Fantasy 16.
Other companies have also removed Denuvo from several of their games. In March 2023, KRAFTON removed Denuvo from The Callisto Protocol. NEOWIZ has also removed it from its Souls-like game, Lies of P. In October 2024, Gearbox removed it from Homeworld 3, too.
And that’s not all. Bethesda’s Wolfenstein Youngblood, Ghostwire: Tokyo, and Doom Eternal no longer have it. Then we have Bandai Namco, which has removed it from Tekken 7 and NARUTO TO BORUTO: SHINOBI STRIKER. Plus, Warner Bros has removed it from Gotham Knights, Back 4 Blood, and Mortal Kombat 11.
Stay tuned for more!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
