Gala Networks have just announced their latest MMORPG that was shown behind closed doors at GamesCom, Sevencore. Developed by new studio Noria, helmed by industry veterans, Sevencore brings together narrative, extensive customisation and fusion-fantasy elements for a standout, story driven MMORPG. Gala Networks Europe has released two videos that can be viewed after the jump; the first one to explain Sevencore and the company’s unique creative partnership with Noria, which will see operator and developer working in close harmony, and a short gameplay video to give a taste of Sevencore’s vibrant world and distinctive gameplay design. Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, off-camera, gameplay footage from GamesCom 2011

Sniper fans, get ready for a brand new gameplay footage of the CryEngine 3 powered game, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2. The game is developed by City Interactive and is slated for a Q1 2012 release on PC, X360 and PS3. This gameplay footage was captured from GamesCom and although it looks great, it lacks some interesting features of its predecessor (like the wind/gravity/distance affecting your shots). Either City Interactive removed them or this footage is in lower difficulty that doesn’t have those features enabled. Incredible Ape’s casual and highly addictive “/Escape\” is out now and you can play it for free

Incredible Ape has released their surprisingly addictive single button, wall-jumping unplatformer that is playable right now – and for free – on Kongregate. As the title suggests, the goal of “/Escape\” is to escape from a massive unstoppable laser. Pressing only the escape key to jump from wall-to-wall, you must avoid high-voltage hazards as you ascend an endless tower. 2K Games is to blame for Serious Sam 2’s cartoon-ish style

We are pretty sure that most PC gamers share our opinion; while Serious Sam: The First and Second Encounter were amazing games, their sequel was somewhat lacking that seriousness of old Sammy boy. Although it had hilarious cut-scenes, it was more of a cartoon-ish joke parody. Ubisoft is offering now refunds through Steam for From Dust

Couple of days ago, Valve offered some refunds for those that were unhappy with Ubisoft’s downloadable game, From Dust. Those refunds however were only for those who pre-ordered their game and were accepted prior to the game’s release. So the game got out and some PC gamers were unhappy. Deus Ex: Human Revolution Hotfix Released; Easter egg at the game’s end credits

According to the game’s Steam page, an issue was found that caused some users to be unable to start the game on specific machines. Specifically, the presence of older ATI/AMD drivers, also on machines with NVidia hardware, would cause the game to crash on startup. This patch is a hot-fix for that particular issue. On top of this, it also increases the number of save-slots from 20, like on the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, to 99. Portal: No Escape is an impressive live-action movie that is based on Valve’s puzzle game

We’ve seen fan made movies based on Assassin’s Creed, Half-Life 2, Duke Nukem Forever and Team Fortress 2. Some of them are good, some astounding and some get the job done. So today, we bring you a great fan-made movie that is based on Valve’s Portal and showcases what a real person could achieve if he (or she) was trapped somewhere and had the portal gun. This over 2 minutes of full HD footage is all shot in game, in online MP gaming during beta testing last week. The game looks great and that unique covering system is simply one of its biggest aces.
