In an interview with CVG, Crytek’s GM of games, Nick Button-Brown, revealed that the company will announce a new project on April. The company is already preparing the new Homefront and Ryse, and according to Button-Brown this unannounced game will look absolutely spectacular and fantastic. Button-Brown went on and added later that it will be ‘genuinely the best of that kind of project they’ve ever done.’ Continue reading Crytek is teasing a new console/PC announcement→

Dreampainters sent us word about the first gameplay trailer of their upcoming adventure game, Anna. After watching the trailer, I have to note that Anna looks heavily inspired by Frictional Games’ masterpiece, Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Which is a good thing, mind you. In fact, Anna could be the Amnesia of 2012. Well, that is if Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs doesn’t hit its 2012 release date. Still, we have to congratulate the indie team of Dreampainters for their work. Anna is atmospheric as hell, is good looking (even though the footage from the trailer is WIP), stays true to the adventure spirit, and looks really interesting. Enjoy the trailer after the jump! A new Baldur’s Gate website went live a couple of weeks ago, suggesting that a new Baldur’s Gate game would be coming. Although there is nothing certain at this point, the website’s source code was updated a couple of days ago with some new quotes. Questions abound and no answers can be found as of yet. Are those new quotes addressed to the game’s fans or BioWare for abandoning the Baldur’s Gate franchise? Did BioWare want to ‘kill’ the franchise? Continue reading Baldur’s Gate website slightly updated, Atari has given the green light to this new project→
There is no denying that John Romero was talented back in the days. There is also no doubt that Daikatana flopped and couldn’t live up to its hype. Oh, and it didn’t make us his bitch after all. But fear not Doom and old-scool fans, as John Romero is about to return. iD Software’s former employee has tweeted that he’s currently working on an old-school FPS title. Before jumping to early conclusions, the answer is no; this upcoming FPS title is not Daikatana 2. Continue reading John Romero is working on a new FPS game; will it make us his bitch?→
A new Humble Indie Pack has appeared on Steam’s registry, suggesting that a new pack is already on its way. The interesting part here is that Steam’s registry has not listed any games for it as of yet. Did Valve intentionally hide the list as there were a lot of leaks due to Steam’s registry? Perhaps. In the past, it took Humble Indie Pack a few weeks to get released after being spotted in Steam’s registry, so we can expect to see this new indie pack in the following weeks. And it has finally been topped. SEGA’s amazing soccer management is no longer at the first place of the UK PC Charts, as BioWare’s RPG has managed to claim the first place in its first week of release. Not only that, but The Sims 3: Showtime – that was released alongside Mass Effect 3 – can be spotted at the second place, while Football Manager 2012 is now at the third place. And it seems that Assassin’s Creed III has boosted the sales of Revelations, as it managed to re-enter the UK PC Charts and is now at the tenth place. Apart from these changes though, there is nothing worth writing about. All games lost one-three places and sadly, Alan Wake is nowhere to be found. A couple of days ago, Neogaf’s user ‘cednym’ informed everyone about a supposedly new version of Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. According to cednym, his local GameStop shop had a listing for Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3X. That new version of UMVSC 3 would feature 8 new challengers and would be priced at $14.99 as a DLC and at $39.99 as a packaged disc version. Naturally, fans asked Capcom whether those rumors were true or not and Capcom’s Christian Svensson went ahead and answered to them.
