Sony Online Entertainment has released today some brand new screenshots for their upcoming free-to-play MMOFPS, Planetside 2. PlanetSide 2 takes all the groundbreaking features from the original game – massive multiplayer battles, distinctive empires to rally around, and enormous continents to support intense ground and air combat – and adds features that modern gamers have come to expect out of the FPS and MMO genres. Deep Silver and X1 Software/AWAR today released a new trailer for the upcoming tactical shooter “Iron Front – Liberation 1944”. In Poland in the summer of 1944, soldiers march through fields, pass villages and hide in woods. The Red Army and the Wehrmacht prepare for the battles of the Soviet Offensive, which played a crucial part in Germany’s defeat in the Second World War. The video shows how the infantry of both sides prepare for their convergence. The game features not only a realistic and extensive campaign based on the historical events of the Soviet Offensive in 1944, but also authentic replications of weaponry and warplanes. “Iron Front – Liberation 1944” will be available exclusively for the PC from May 25, 2012. City Interactive released today a new set of screenshots for their upcoming CryEngine 3 powered sniper gamer, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2. These new images showcase some of the environments, as well as the dismemberment system that will be featured. It looks great, which was a given as CryEngine 3 is a really powerful engine to begin with. Now this is really awesome. Back in the days, I was a die-hard console fan and loved my SNES. And no, I don’t mind admitting it as I strongly believe that consoles and PCs can co-exist. Star-Fox was one of my favourite games and like most of its fans, I’d really love to see a remake of it. And have you ever wondered how it would look like in current-generation consoles and PC? Well, time to find out as YouTube’s member ‘rickonami’ uploaded a CGI remake of the game’s intro sequence. Although this is a CGI, its visuals can be easily achieved by current generation games and Nintendo should definitely consider a remake of it. Imagine a remake of Star-Fox as a Wii U launch title. Bloody hell, I’d buy it. As this is not going to happen though, enjoy for the time being this CGI remake. Steam’s registry revealed some interesting classic Mega-Drive hits that will be coming to the PC. According to the registry, Streets of Rage 3, Phantasy Star series, Vectorman 2, Golden Axe 3, The Revenge of the Shinobi and Wonder Boy in Monster World will be released in the coming weeks or months. Our guess is that these games are part of the new Mega-Drive Classic Pack that will be unveiled at a later date. Great news for arcade racers as Bugbear Entertainment have released two new updates for the PC version of Ridge Racer: Unbounded. These updates fix the micro-stuttering problem that was present with some graphics cards, add support for friends, fix the highlighting bug in lobby and improve the multiplayer stability with high latency or high packet loss. These updated will be auto-downloaded next time you start the Steam client and you can view the complete changelog (for both of them) below. Enjoy! As promised, SEGA has released today the PC version of Binary Domain. The PC version was developed by Devil’s Details and is currently priced at 39.99 euros on Steam. Binary Domain puts players in the middle of a fast-paced and intense battle for humanity in robot-invaded 2080 Tokyo. Fighting through the derelict lower levels of the city, players control an international peace-keeping squad that soon starts to question their surroundings and the choices they made. Hooray, it’s time for day-one DLCs. And you thought that Street Fighter x Tekken or Mass Effect 3 were bad enough, right? Guess again. Deep Silver today announced that two DLCs for the pirate RPG “Risen 2: Dark Waters” are available for purchase on PC.
