Remember that helmet cam from Shift 2: Unleashed? Looked great, right? Well, get ready because Slightly Mad Studios are implementing this camera viewpoint to their upcoming racer, Project CARS. Not only that, but the viewpoint is way better than the one that was featured in Shift 2: Unleashed. Hi-Rez Studios have released a new update for their free-to-play first person shooter, Tribes: Ascend. Tribes: Ascend is the world’s fastest shooter and features jetpacks, skiing, vehicles, team-based gameplay, and cutting-edge graphics using Unreal 3 technology. This new update modifies the collision size of Raider’s Plasma Gun projectile, however the weapon’s damage and rate of fire remain the same. Vostok Games has revealed today – via the game’s official FB page – the first details about their free-to-play MMOFPS, Survarium. According to the developers, Survarium will feature RPG and survival elements, as well as a post-apocalyptic atmosphere that will influence the gameplay in many different ways, mutants, underground levels and bullet ballistics. Survarium will be a story driven MMOFPS and will not feature a seamless big world. Survarium is going to be a session-based game and Vostok Games’ plan is to constantly expand the number of new locations in the game. Weekend is coming and alongside with it, we got some new updates for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Mount Blade: Warband & Mount Blade: Warband – Napoleonic Wars. The update for CS: GO comes with a new edition of the Aztec, various tweaks to all previous maps, decreased Movement acceleration and stopspeed values, as well as some fixes and recoil tweaks. The Mount Blade: Warband & Napoleonic Wars updates, on the other hand, come with two new siege maps, game balance tweaks, and improved performance. There is no doubt, the next Call of Duty title will be Black Ops 2 and is slated for a November 13th release on current generation consoles (PS3 and X360) and – normally – on the PC. Sony Online Entertainment has released today some brand new screenshots for their upcoming free-to-play MMOFPS, Planetside 2. PlanetSide 2 takes all the groundbreaking features from the original game – massive multiplayer battles, distinctive empires to rally around, and enormous continents to support intense ground and air combat – and adds features that modern gamers have come to expect out of the FPS and MMO genres. Deep Silver and X1 Software/AWAR today released a new trailer for the upcoming tactical shooter “Iron Front – Liberation 1944”. In Poland in the summer of 1944, soldiers march through fields, pass villages and hide in woods. The Red Army and the Wehrmacht prepare for the battles of the Soviet Offensive, which played a crucial part in Germany’s defeat in the Second World War. The video shows how the infantry of both sides prepare for their convergence. The game features not only a realistic and extensive campaign based on the historical events of the Soviet Offensive in 1944, but also authentic replications of weaponry and warplanes. “Iron Front – Liberation 1944” will be available exclusively for the PC from May 25, 2012.
