Bethesda Softworks, a ZeniMax Media company, today announced that DOOM 3 BFG Edition will be available this Autumn and features DOOM 3 and the Resurrection of Evil add-on pack, both of which have been completely re-mastered. The package also includes hours of new content – seven new levels entitled ‘The Lost Mission’. DOOM 3 BFG Edition is slated for release for X360, PC and PS3 – making it the first time any DOOM game has ever appeared on the PlayStation 3. Hi-Rez Studios today confirmed that the Closed Beta for the action MOBA game SMITE will begin tomorrow on Thursday, 31st May, 2012. Studio representatives also announced that no character wipes are planned during Beta. EA Sports has released some new screenshots for the upcoming 2013 version of Fifa. According to the company, Fifa 13 will be centered around 5 major improvements: First Touch Control, Player Impact, Complete Dribble, Tactical Free-Kicks and Attacking AI. As promised, IO Interactive and Square Enix have released the E3 trailer for their action stealth third person shooter game, Hitman: Absolution. In this trailer we witness Agent 47 treating his wounds in a run-down motel room. Meanwhile, his former employer, the ICA, send a deadly specialized wetworks team after him: “The Saints.” The ICA wants 47 dead, but that’s easier said than done. Electronic Arts and DICE have released a new, explosive trailer for Battlefield 3’s upcoming DLC. This new trailer showcases the level of destruction that is featured with the Close Quarters DLC and we have to say that we are really impressed with it. As it’s pretty obvious, these small environments gave DICE the opportunity to raise the game’s environmental damage and that’s a big plus in our books. It’s not as mind-blowing as all those PhysX titles but still, it’s really nice. Battlefield 3: Close Quarters is slated for a June 12th release. Enjoy!
