Our CryEngine 3 gallery is dedicated this week on the amazing total conversion/CryEngine 3 game, Titanic – Lost in the Darkness. You know, the one from that memorable video. The team has been hard at work this whole time and although they didn’t release a new video this week, they decided to bombard us with a lot of screenshots. To put it simple – this is among the best CryEngine 3 screenshots we’ve ever seen and contrary to other total conversions, this one will definitely see the light of day. The team is currently polishing Titanic’s areas and as you can see, they have done exceptional work so far. Venerance might be one of the most promising mods for Crysis 2. Venerance: Sigma Octanus IV is a game modification that takes place in the extended Halo universe fiction, mainly using the development tools provided by CryTek via their CryEngine 3 Software Developers Kit. The story that will be experienced in the mod can be found in Eric Nylund’s “The Fall of Reach” starting with the first page of Chapter 19 and ending with the last page of Chapter Twenty-Two. Normally, we’d include these screenshots in our weekly CryEngine 3 gallery but they’re so hot that we felt the need to share them with you as soon as possible. A lot of gamers think that CryEngine 3 is inferior to CryEngine 2 (because Crysis 1 looks better than Crysis 2), however CryEngine 3 can achieve CG quality graphics as can be seen by the works of modder Puppy and 3D artist Mark Ranson. We really hope that next-generation games will look this good and if you thought that Project CARS’ car models looked phenomenal, wait until you see the one created by Ranson. Enjoy! Although Radical Entertainment is no more, Prototype 2 PC will see the light of day and we are happy to report today that the game is available for pre-purchase on Steam. Those of you who decide to pre-order it will receive the RADNET DLC – which includes new missions, events and powers for Prototype 2 – and a copy of Prototype to play now for free. YouTube’s member ‘taltigolt’ an amazing GTA IV video in which the player causes chaos and havoc with Portal 2’s characters, Atlas and P-Body. This mod was created by modders indirivacua, stanchi, and cacho98 and can be downloaded from GTA4-Mods. This is clearly an entertaining mod, so go ahead and watch the following video that showcases these new characters – as well as their abilities. Crytek has announced that an interactive trailer for Crysis 3’s single player campaign will be released next week. According to the company, in Crysis 3 your decisions will matter and that the upcoming interactive trailer will let you see just some of the ways you can hunt down your prey in Crysis 3. Let’s hope that it won’t be full of small clips and that it will showcase the game’s environments that are said to be bigger than those of Crysis 2. Until then, enjoy its E3 2012 trailer!
