Warner Bros has unveiled some new screenshots for Batman: Arkham Origins, showcasing the Batcave that will be featured in it. Via Batcave, players will be able to upgrade equipment and abilities, as well as access Challenge Maps. And a couple of hours ago, Microsoft itself revealed that the service will be discontinued on July 1st, 2014. This information was shared on Age of Empires Online support page, however Microsoft was quick to react and re-edited that page. A team of gamers is currently developing Mother 4; a fan-made addition to the cult-classic series Mother. The game is set in an idealized vintage America and follows the adventures of a young boy and the leader of a biker gang, who get caught up in the whirlwind events surrounding a group calling themselves the Modern Men. The AMD Catalyst 13.8 BETA2 comes with performance improvements in Saints Row 4, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and Final Fantasy XIV. Precursor Games has released a new video, showcasing the sanity system that will be implemented in Shadow Of The Eternals. According to Shawn Jackson, Precursor Games aims to bring the sanity system of Eternal of Darkness to its latest title that will be powered by CryEngine 3. The development team aims to both use the new gen technology to drive players insane and incorporate some gameplay mechanics to this sanity system. For example, players may be able to see a hidden door only when they are driven insane. It’s a cool concept, so it remains to be seen whether Precursor will be able to deliver. Microsoft’s GFWL is going down… down… down. Capcom – a studio that has been constantly supporting GFWL – has recently switched over to Steamworks, and it seems that more studios will be following it. Namco Bandai is also ditching GFWL from its titles (Dark Souls II will not require GFWL) and it’s time for Warner Bros to jump on the Steamworks bandwagon.
