2K and Gearbox Software today announced that the Borderlands 2 Game of the Year Edition will be available on all platforms internationally on October 11, 2013. With the Borderlands 2 Season Pass now complete, this is the perfect opportunity to get all of its content as well as the base game, Premiere Club content, and more in one mayhem-filled package. Splash Damage announced that its upcoming F2P title will be now called Extraction. In addition, Splash Damage revealed that it is partnering with Nexon America to operate our free-to-play multiplayer shooter Extraction in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Not only that, but Splash Damage claimed that the game won’t be a pay-to-win title. But then again, we’ve heard that from pretty much every F2P developer, haven’t we? Konami has revealed – via the preview build of the game’s PC version – the system requirements for Pro Evolution Soccer 2014. According to the official specs, PC gamers will need at least a Pentium D 820 2.8GHz or an Athlon LE-1640 to play this upcoming soccer title. PES 2014 will support Windows XP and will support neither DX10, nor DX11. A little bit disappointing as the game is based on the FOX Engine, therefore we were expecting to see what that engine is capable of. PES 2014 is currently planned for a September 20th release on PC, X360 and PS3, and you can view the complete system specs below. The team behind the Fallout: Lanius film has finally released its short film. Fallout: Lanius is a Fan Man Short Film centered on the Origin Story of Legate Lanius from Fallout: New Vegas. Fallout: Lanius was crowdfunded in late 2012 via Indiegogo for $19,000. The film was shot in Perth, Western Australia. The team has had a tremendous amount of support from both Bethesda Softworks and Obsidian Entertainment, so kudos to both studios. Enjoy! And we all saw that coming. Executive producer Patrick Bach told Videogamer that the PC version of Battlefield 4 will be the definitive one. As Patrick said, DICE is doing everything it can on next-gen consoles, however it needs to compromise in some places. Earlier last week, we heard rumors about BF4 running at 720p on consoles, so Patrick may be referring to this aspect. Or perhaps about the quality of the game’s textures? Or its particles effects? Square Enix announced today that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is now available in North America. Now, players on Windows PC and the PS3 can adventure together in the first Final Fantasy title thanks to its cross-platform functionality.
