Battlefield 4 – New Gameplay Footage Emerges, Showcasing A Brand New Map
Our reader ‘Ghost Rider LSOV’ has shared with us a new video, showcasing the spectacular Flood Zone map of Battlefield 4 Defuse Mode. This map was showcased in one of EA’s videos, however it’s the first time we get to see this map being played. pCARS developer: Mantle will offer 70-80% of next-gen console performance (regarding draw calls)
In around 20 days, AMD will reveal more details about its low-level API, Mantle, during its Developers Summit event. And it seems that it will be worth the wait, as a lot of developers are currently praising this new API. Among those developers is Project CARS engineer programmer, who claimed that Mantle will offer 70-80% of next-gen console performance in terms of submitting draw calls. New Indie Releases – FORCED, Defense Technica and Space Engineers Available On Steam
Good news for indie fans as three new titles have been released on Steam. These three games are FORCED, Defense Technica and Space Engineers. Ubisoft announced today that Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD will arrive for the first time as a digital title on PC on January 15th, 2014. As the press release reads, players will be able to take the role of Aveline, the first playable female Assassin in the Assassin’s Creed saga, with whom players must use their skill, instinct and weaponry to hunt down and eliminate enemies as they embark on an unforgettable journey that will take them from the crowded streets of New Orleans to voodoo-haunted swamps and ancient Mayan ruins. Batman: Arkham Origins Now Available, Nvidia Releases Graphics & Performance Guide
Batman: Arkham Origins has just been released, and Nvidia’s Andrew Iain Burnes has informed us about an interesting article that covers the graphical settings of it. Batman: Arkham Origins supports tessellation (for Batman’s cape and snow), a new DOF technique, TXAA, PhysX effects, HBAO+ and Percentage Closer Soft Shadows. According to Andrew, only PhysX and TXAA are exclusive to Nvidia cards (and HBAO+ as its an Nvidia technique), meaning that all other techniques should work with other GPUs.
