Remember a prototype video we shared a while ago from Unreal Engine 4? Well, it seems that one scene from it was used during Nvidia’s CES 2014 event. Yesterday, Nvidia and Epic Games showcased the power of the new Tegra K1 chip, which was running the dungeon scene from the prototype Matrix video. Tegra K1 is described as the first-ever console-class mobile technology, enabling PC-class gaming technologies like DirectX 11, OpenGL 4.4 and tessellation. AMD TressFX 2.0 – Technology Overview & Analysis Video

RedGamingTech has posted a new video about AMD’s TressFX 2.0. According to AMD, this newer version of TressFX comes with better performance and easier integration into games. In addition, TressFX 2.0 can be used for other things besides hair, like grass and fur. CRYENGINE modder ‘carlos333′ has finished his map that is inspired by 4A GAmes’ Metro: Last Light, and you can find below the last batch of screenshots from it. Although the modder called this project is done, we can still notice some ‘graphical’ anomalies. For instance, ambient occlusion has not been used, giving a flat look. Textures could also benefit from some SweetFX sharpening love as they look low-res. Nitpicks, we know, but these little details could improve the IQ of this map. Enjoy!
