During its UDK livestream, Epic Games has just confirmed that it is making a new Unreal Tournament for Windows, Linux and Mac. This will be a free title, it won’t be plagued by microtransactions, will support community-developed mods and maps, and will be powered by Unreal Engine 4. And yes, it’s coming from Epic Games itself. Dying Light – 25 Minutes Of New Gameplay Footage [UPDATE: Delayed To February 2015]
Man, Dying Light has not been released yet and we’ve already seen over one (or even two) hours of gameplay footage. And here comes today a new gameplay playthrough that packs 25 minutes of in-game action (coming from YouTube’s DuskBit). And at this point, I don’t know whether this is a good or a bad thing about this particular title. Because you know what? The game will feel really ‘old’ and repetitive once we start playing it (especially after being overexposed). Daylight – PC Performance Analysis
Now that’s what we call a huge disappointment. Daylight is the first game powered by Epic’s next-gen engine, Unreal Engine 4, and contrary to what Epic has shown via its various tech demos, Zombie Studios’ horror title looks as awful as it can possibly get. In fact, Daylight looks and performs worse than a lot of UE3 games, which obviously brings the question: why exactly did the development team bother with Unreal Engine 4?
