Dying Light – 25 Minutes Of New Gameplay Footage [UPDATE: Delayed To February 2015]

Man, Dying Light has not been released yet and we’ve already seen over one (or even two) hours of gameplay footage. And here comes today a new gameplay playthrough that packs 25 minutes of in-game action (coming from YouTube’s DuskBit). And at this point, I don’t know whether this is a good or a bad thing about this particular title. Because you know what? The game will feel really ‘old’ and repetitive once we start playing it (especially after being overexposed). Nevertheless, we’re pretty sure that zombie fans will enjoy the following video, so go ahead and take a look!

[UPDATE]

John Papadopoulos: Thomas was fooled by a montage of all the previous trailers into one video. Therefore, I’ve marked this as old. That’s for posting the video of Enemy Front and making me look like a fool. Joke’s on you now Thomas 😛

[UPDATE 2]

Techland has just announced that the game has been delayed to February 2015.

After many improvements and months of hard work, we have now come so close to realizing our initial vision we feel we cannot stop before it is ready.

We believe the Natural Movement element of our game will change what you expect from the genre, and we don’t want to sacrifice any of its potential by releasing too early. This quality-focused thinking underlines all our development choices and we hope you share our belief that the gameplay must always come first.

The new date ensures that we can fully realize our vision of an innovative open world game. We won’t need to make compromises or trade-offs on any of the five platforms we’re working on. For you, it means an outstanding, original game that makes the wait more than worthwhile.
