SEGA has announced Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition, the definitive edition of the first Space Marine game. This new version will come with improved graphics, and below you can find its official PC system requirements.
Master Crafted Edition is developed by SneakyBox and it will come with 4K resolution, modernised controls, an interface overhaul, improved character models and remastered audio. Players will experience this third-person shooter set within the grim darkness and ceaseless conflict of the Warhammer 40,000 universe like never before.
Going into more details, the Master Crafted Edition will have the base game and all DLCs. It will also get upgraded to a 64-bit system, something that will improve the game’s stability.
Now as you will see in the following trailer, the game does not come close to Space Marine 2. So, don’t expect a visual parity between them. In other words, this is a remaster of the first Space Marine, and not a remake. As such, you should temper your expectations.
To run the game, PC gamers will at least need an Intel Core i5-6400 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 with 8GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 290X. With such a PC setup, you will be able to game at 1080p/30FPS.
To play at 4K/60FPS, you will need an Intel Core i5-12400F or AMD Ryzen 5 5600x with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 or an AMD Radeon RX 6600. The game will also require 45GB of free disk space.
SEGA will release Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition on June 10th. The game will be available at $39.99 on PC. Do also note that this won’t be a free upgrade to those who already own the game on PC. That’s kind of a bummer.
